3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
750ml bottle. Like other Éphémère, the balance between the fruit and beer is nicely done. Nice foamy head.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(341 ml bottle: Obtained in trade with radiomgb, thanks Jeff!) This is easily the least impressive of the three fruit flavored Éphémère products I’ve tried so far. Yes, it tastes somewhat like peach, but it also tastes fairly artificial to me, and that’s the death knell for a fruit beer to me. It’s both lightly tart and lightly sweet at the same time. From behind the peach flavor comes the Belgian wit base, and the combination just doesn’t work in the finish. The nose is peachy, again with the peaches failing to convince me of the real thing, but it also smells dusty like a pushbroom, and isn’t inviting at all. Light-medium bodied, gently carbonated and clean on the palate. Fully cloudy, orange-yellow body with few carbonation bubbles. Half an inch of fizzy, off-white head forms after the pour, but quickly fades into oblivion. Disappointing to say the least, but not horrible.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy orange-yellow hue, with a soft foamy white head, with a basket full of peaches aroma, with some apricot accents, and a yeasty fruity aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a peach sorbet flavor, even notes of pineapple, leading toards a lingering peachy acidity finish.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
341ml bottle, leftover from an assorted 8-pack picked up in a Montreal supermarket in April 2003. (Reviewed Sept 2003)
Pours with a frothy white head that fades and leaves spots of lace. Body is pale gold and cloudy. (Unibroue beers always look so good in the glass!)
Smell is peachy of course but no overwhelmingly so. Hints of spice and yeast.
Very fizzy. All you taste at first is the carbonation. Then the light peach followed by sour malt. I like how they have understated the fruit with this brew and haven’t overwhelmed you with sweet syrup like many fruity beers. Light body with the sour aftertaste. Not bad but I can’t see picking this one up again.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours hazy gold with medium white head. Aroma of huge peach, perfumy florals, hopcit. Tastes peachy, with some hopcit, malt, and even berries at the finish. The taste doesn’t live up to the aroma, but this one is unique and great.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy yellow with a small head. Taste is of peaches and some mild hoppy undertones. Not bad, but their apple is much better.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour is cloudy golden with a big bubbled but fast fading white head...nose is peach and something else sweet that I can’t put my finger on...taste is weak...lively mouthfeel...very thin bodied though...taste is sweet and yeasty but little to no peach except ever so slightly in the after taste...easy enough to drink however...
