A very beauitful and very dark amber. Almost non-transparant. Great color. It has a fruity, malty, slight alcohol smell. Very well balanced and great. Just beautiful. Looking forward to this. Wow, very nice. Malty, fruity and a littel alcohol taste. Just like the smell. But a little more complex. At least to me it is.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2005 I really liked this Belgian Ale. Surprised its rated so low nothing earth shattering or ground breaking but, still good brew for the style. Roasted malts, sweet, and yeasty flavors. Finishes clean, crisp, and dry.

Flavour is caramel malts, dark berries, some slight oak barrel, mild licorice and some slight alcohol. Gets better the warmer it gets. At room temperature very pleasant.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 lagermonkey (725) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - JUL 26, 2006
Pours an opaque dark brown with a big rocky tan head. Smell is yeasty, fruity apple, spicy (clove and cinnamon).
Tastes of ripe banana, clove and yeastiness. Sour apples and hints of lemon. Mouth is lighter than you would expect but still lightly sticky. Pretty damn good. The stronger big brother of the Irresistible Blonde.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 jbrus (4992) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - AUG 10, 2005
Bottled. Apple and dried dark fruits aroma. Cloudy, dark brown, rocky irregular head, few lace. Sweet, apple, light bitter, raisin, plum, light nutty. Not exceptional but certainly yet another good highly drinkable typical Unibroue beer. Don’t they all basically taste the same?
