COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With La Bolduc, Unibroue recreated an "Old Style" beer reminiscent of the 1950s. A natural and refreshing beer.

Bottle. Hopefully better than the U’s. Yellow. Thin head. Thin aroma, trace of grass. Malty body. Slight spice on the tongue. Decent lager for the hockey game.

Bottle 341ml @ [ Tasting in Ulfborg ].
Clear medium orange yellow color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate yeasty, citrus notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (110708)

[1490-20080601] Tap. Bit of skunky corn in the aroma. Clear, medium orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. More corn and hay in the flavour that’s slightly skunked. Medium body. Poor.

Courtesy of Fonefan. Golden with an OK head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt and light fruit. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of malt, light fruit and straw and the overall impression Is smooth and pleasant, but not overly exciting.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is grass, yeast and some hops. Flavour is fruity, raisiny, quite yeasty and also quite big on the herbs. Leaves quite earthy notes in the aftertaste.

341ml, la première fois que j’ai bu cette bière je pensais que c’était une ale, à ma surprise c’est une lager, très bonne.

Bottle. [vintage 2004]. Bought @ Kulminator, Antwerp. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a thin creamy white head. Aroma has cranberries, maltiness, light sweetness, ginger. Mouthfeel is perhaps a touch on the thin side. Flavour is lightly citric bitter, fruity and again with lots of cranberry dryness that dries out the aftertaste wonderfully.
