Definitly a little fruit in there, like apricots and a possibly a little orange. Hits your tounge with a full punch. So far a very relaxing and enjoyable beer. DigitalMan (113), Idaho, USA
| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 1/10 | 2/5 | 2/20 | Apr 23, 2009 Gah. Drain pour. This is the second, and probably last, beer I’ll try from Unibroue. Rotten funky, fishy dishwatery gym sock beer. After drinking maybe half a bottle of the similarly nasty Pistoles, I didn’t even bother with a second swallow of this one. Yuck. cloudy yellow, thick white head.
acid/sour/citrussy/floral aroma resembling a very good witbier. also a little spices. aroma is very enticing, very refreshing and makes you think that no matter what, a 9%er cannot live up to this kind of freshness..
but it can.
flavor is strong, citrussy, spicy, "belgian blonde" like, yellow fruits, faint banana, lemon, lime, a little bitterness. this style doesn’t get much better. 41cubs (138), , New Jersey, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 17, 2009 The best tripel that I’ve ever had. Bread and apricots on the nose. The perfect carbonation for the style lends greatly to the balance of the dryness and the soft supple body of the beer. The flavor is yeast, raw barley, and grassy exquisiteness. Thank You Unibroue. 2009 12 oz. Gr0ve (1395), Oslo, Norway
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 17, 2009 330 ml bottle. Hazy amber colour. Medium-sized white head that clings to the glass. Aroma is fruity with hints of oxidation and acetaldehyde. Ripe apples. Orange peel. Unlike most other tripels the yeast does not dominate. Nicely balanced flavour. Fruity and definitely on the complex side for a tripel. Some bitterness, but the hops meld nicely with the fruity esters. A classic. Kenbeer30 (41), Texas, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 16, 2009 12 oz bottle. I passed on the large bottle with the cork in it. I bought the 4-pack for nearly $10. Poured into my favorite tulip snifter. Poured a hazy gold with a fluffy, persistent head. Nose is of fruity resin. Lots of promise in the nose. The flavor carries the promise to fruition. Delightfully sweet tripel with the fruit on the tongue and the yeast in the finish. Light tingle of alcohol lets you know that this is no ordinary drink. Sipped it for an hour. Savoring every drop. Super offering from Unibroue. convex (31), Wroclaw, Poland

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 13, 2009 pours hazy yellow with a good sized white head. aroma is fruity- banana, citrus, green melon, spices, and malts. drinks sweet and very fruity with a gritty yeast effect that i think compliments the viscosity of it. finishes dry, almost wine like with a yeasty after taste. very tasty!
