| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 27, 2009 Pours a clear, bubbly, goldenrod yellow. Nice dense white head that didn’t stick around. Aroma is wonderful yeast with light sweet malt and a tart fruitiness (higher temperature fermentation?). Flavor is yeasty and tart as well, with an almost pilsner-ish crispness. Not too sweet, and the aftertaste is pleasing. It just lacks that special something to put it over the top. Ryan82SM (242), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 26, 2009 Plenty of fruit in the aroma, particularly banana and orange, with trademark spicy yeast, of course. Appearance, though "blonde", was surprisingly opaque, good sized head, even though the girl couldn’t pour to save her life. Flavor had plenty of yeasty character, along with orange, banana, apricot and other complexities. Palate was fairly lively, but not overwhelming, some alcohol presence. Good, but nothing too outstanding from other tripels on the block. ben4321 (996), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Had this on tab at the Waterfront Ale House in Manhattan, and was really impressed, great beer. Had 2 beers while I was there, this and the Rochefort 10, I’d call that SUCCESS!

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Mar 22, 2009 Disclaimer - Abbey Trippels aren’t my favorite style. But this was drinkable, and is probably an awesome one if these are up your alley. Beautiful golden color, impressive head, yeasty and fruity aroma, very complex flavor. Smooth, but packs a wallop. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 19, 2009 Bottle. Transparent golden straw with heavy carbonation and a thick white stubborn head. There is apple, apricot, plenty of yeast in the aroma with clove and a bit of orange or lemon zest. The mouthfeel is medium, a bit creamy on the tongue, inviting. There is plenty of clove in the flavour, some spices, apple, pepper, a fair bit of subtlety, good masking of the alcohol flavour (at least for the style). GardenGabe (126), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 19, 2009 750ml Pours clear golden with a white head. Settle quickly, little lacing. Soft feel in the mouth some light tickle on the tongue and the back of the throat. Somewhat malty finish that thickens on the pallet. Uncomplicated nose (very slight urea) mostly a crisp spicy smell. Taste is peppery, some yeast, and characteristic orange. Alcohol comes through more then i would like. All told it is a good beer and generally refreshing.
