3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
In the 750 ml bottle. Pours a deep golden color with a medium white head. Big bubbles. Malt liquor aroma. Taste is strong with a sizeable bitter hop content. Very high alcohol can be detected in the mouth. Smooth and accommodating for all the complexities of tastes contained here. Finish is slightly medicine-like. Fine ale.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours hazy golden with huge white head that doesn’t quit. Complex yeasty aroma with lots of esters. I detect some spices perhaps cloves and nutmeg. Flavor is is quite yeasty, smooth, and sweet. Excellent belgian.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Poured like pale apple nectar with a huge parfait head. Plenty of cling to the large lacey head. Sniffed like cooked bananas or ripe papayas. Finished tart. A wonderful brew that I’ll enjoy again and again.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
poured into a trappist and gave me half a murky yellow body, and half a huge frumpy white head.as the eahd settled,it did leave nice lacing along the sides of the glass.the taste was very simliar to your average trppel witha little less bite/acidity.to me this is a nice switch as i feel some trippels have a bit to much bite.this is turning out to be very enjoyable.

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
a spicy clove and cinnamon burst dominate the front part of this beer. Alcohol is well hidden. This is all balanced with a malty finish. I’m not well versed in Belgians, and it would seem that I am less appreciative of this style than of others, such as stouts and bocks. Still a very enjoyable brew, just not really my "style".

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Had this one on New Years Eve ringing in 2005. A yellowish appearance and it was pretty flat. A good deal of lemons and other citrus fruit. Slightly sour aftertaste. A decent beer.

3.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Yellow color with off-white head. A grainy malty taste that was good but, not as good as other Unibroue beers.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours hazy yellow orange with good off-white head. Very yeasty aroma. Lots of wheat flavor as well as yeast. Highly carbonated, a bit dry, and maybe a bit thin. But, overall not a bad Tripel.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2006 A little better than the Raftman, but once again, the palate was interfered with the flavor of the beer maudite. BUt I liked this one, even stronger.
