4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Solid, above-average pseudo-Belgian. Herbal yeasty aroma; pours golden with strong head. Aftertaste of Hoegaarden florals. Very tasty and economical alternative to Continental brews. I would try this again, for sure.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Holy cow. If there was ever a beer to drink to get ripped, this is it. COmbines the drinkability of a belgian white with the strength and complexity of an abbey trippel. Hazy yellow-golden colour with a white head. Dryish- orange spicy flavours, an absolute beauty.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Surprised that I hadn’t rated this one yet. Lovely hazy light gold, big head that slowly fades. Aroma of orange, a hint of clove, and other spices, with the traditional Unibroue yeast. Flavor matches, complex yet approachable. This is a very well done example of the style.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: NOV 16, 2005 This beer is golden on the bottom and white on the top. The yeasts are great to look at. There is a lot of yeast in this beer. Nice carbonation as well. The taste is similar to the Chimay Triple and the Victory Golden Monkey. This has more of a wine like taste then the other two. This was good. Better then I expected.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Orange, light-coloured beer, very carbonated to extremely dense, finebubbled white head. Very fruity nose, slightly but obviously spicey, grapes and coriander. Very much coriander in the taste, fruity-flowery character, gradually becoming very dry, high attenuation despite some restsugars. Good balance dry-sweet. Medium bodied. Much more spiced than memory had it; just too spicey for being really good.

Bottle. I bought this one for the 2004 beer exchange. pours a hazy golden with a nice big bubbled head. Looks like great carbonation as I can still see bubbles rising as I type. A sour and sweet nose (one of those almost indescribable only Belgian style aromas). Nice medium body, but a little metallic on the taste this time. I did not notice this the first time that I tried this one. Might be what I had for dinner. Still has nice alcohol burn (not nearly as much as it should for its 9%) and a sweet spicy bite. Notes of peach and apricot along with a sweet straw taste. Very nice beer and the metallic leaves after a few drinks. Must have been the tomato sauce I had for dinner. I really like this beer.

Hazy gold with a big frothy head. Big aroma of spice, red grape, and biscuit. Might could use some aging, as this just seemed far too sweet to me and could use some balance. Still very enjoyable, but it makes it hard to finish one.
