| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 8, 2009 Dark golden with a uniform, thin white head. Quite carbonated. Fruity and somewhat spicy, malty aroma. Sweet but with a fairly light palate. 9% ABV packs quite a kick for such a light beer - kinda nice change, IMHO - the best part about this beer. This beer couldn’t stand up to the sharp cheddar I was munching on, but might do well against some of your less flavorful foods found in most pubs (eg. fries, fried cheeses, hummus/fruit plates, your mom). | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 7, 2009 Very fruity, like sweet peaches. Very carbonated, a little spiced. Alcohol pretty well hidden. My only problem was the carbonation. It was almost frothy, and I don’t really care for that. Otherwise, tasty. Birdiebeagle (788), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma is spicy yeast and fruits. Has a good mouthfeel and good carbination. Has a smooth taste well blended and not strong. A decent aftertaste. Overall a very good beer. hirigalzkar (570), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 1, 2009 Bottle. Dark golden color, semi hazy. Complex aroma of belgian yeast, spices, sweetnes and dry white wine. Elegant taste. Spices and honey with a hoppy bitterness in aftertaste. Well balanced and smooth (like all Unibroue brews seems to be), Brewkowski (6), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA does not count | 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Jan 29, 2009 Since I have started drinking beer, out of everything I’ve had, this has by far become my favorite. So consistently good, I keep coming back to it. Poured from a 12 oz. brown bottle into a regular pint glass. Smells of yeast and fruit. Brilliant reddish-orange color with thick, frothy white head. The mouth feel is full, but alcohol is not dominant, if even noticeable, which is surprising for a beer with 9%. It tastes yeasty with hints of sweet fruits and a slight but brilliant bite from the hops to balance it out. Just indescribable. So much going on in this beer. Perfection in a glass.
