A cloudy, pale gold in appearance. It had a large, frothy white head and lots of champagne-like bubbles. It reminded me somewhat of a white beer. Its taste is slightly sweet & fruity. I found it to be very enjoyable.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2003 750 ml caged and corked bottle, best before 10-24-05 date. Pours a pale cloudy yellow color with a lot of floaties, nice white frothy head that leaves a clingy lace in my glass. Has a clean bannana and spicy lemon aroma. Sweet and fruity flavors that dry out, nice crisp and clean finish, another great ale by this brewery.

An Excellent trippel. I havent had many trippels but it is the best Iíve had so far. Very strong in alcohol- yet it is only slightly noticable in the aroma. Many spices in the aroma including coriander, clove, pepper, and maybe cumin. Awesome appearance! Nice golden hazy look with a medium head. (must drink in the propper belgian glass) Fizzy and carbonated but not overly so- which makes it more drinkable. Reminds me somewhat of a delerium tremens but this is much much better. Lots of belgian biscuit and aromatic malts in the flavor to balance out all the spices. Iím assuming some hallertau or saaz was used but in moderation. Yeasty, almost breadlike taste and aroma comes through very well, but is not overbearing. As it warmed, a little more bubblegum flavors came through in the flavor. The beginnign flavor is sweet yet slightly acidic, but the finish leaves you wanting another sip. One of the best belgians from one of the most diversified and distinguished Brewery of Belgian Ales

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2004 Great beer! Very carbonated almost to the point of being annoying. Cloudy blond reminescent of a hefe-weizen. Strong alcohol aroma and taste with a strong dose of spice. Almost like a mix of a wheat beer and a champagne. Great beer overall.

A very frothy head that is a mixture of small and large bubbles. Cloudy yellow color. I donít detect much aroma at all. Sparkly feel in the mouth with nice mixture of sweet, smooth,flowery-spicy. Doesnít have the alcohol burn you might expect from a 9%abv. I seem to detect just a very slight cidery note. Very tasty overall, and quite refreshing.

Very fruity and sweet, nice yellow color. This is one sweet and fruity beer, its good, but not that good. The perfume smell is almost to much at times, maybe Blondes donít have more fun.

Murky yellow colour, little bit of alcohol taste to it. Coriander, cloves and other spices present in the taste. Tastes a bit like a belgian white beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: NOV 4, 2004 Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately yeasty (cobwebs), lightly hoppy (flowers, lemon), lightly malty (cookie, toasted grain), with notes of alcohol, banana, and clove. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Yeast dominates the aroma a bit too much, and itís a little watery and alcoholic, and too sweet for the style, but overall itís a nice Belgian strong golden. A bit too straightforward and color-by-numbers in the end.
