"The end of the world. The excellence of triple fermentation through a blend of special yeasts gives this malt beverage an exquisitely robust flavor of exceptional refinement."

Beautiful head that takes forever to dissipate when you pour it. Good flavor, a little more acidic than I’d prefer but no biggie. Damn good beer.

UPDATED: JUL 8, 2010 I have tried to like Unibroue beers several times since the first time I rated them but I cannot get past the strong spicy/celery flavor and aroma that seems to be present in all of their beers. Very large and frothy head, nice golden clouded color. Flavor is initially sweet then powerful spice. A decent Tripel.

Very interesting to say the least. I needed to back off on my pouring a few times because the mighty head nearly overflowed. This one poors a cloudy mustard yellow with a huge head that will die down quickly after a sip or two and leave a nice creamy layer. The aroma is that of a mild malt mixed in with something of a nutmeg smell. The taste is very powerful as many have pointed out with a considerable tasting of that extra yeast and alcohol. The palate however is very happy with this rogue aftertaste, its a pleasant surprise, and once again, another above average blonde. I guess i will have to take back my original statement that the only thing good to ever come out of Canada was William Shatner...i guess Unibroue deserves a place up there too. Probably the biggest downer for this beer is the overwhelmingness of the yeast left from the triple fermentation process..sort of makes one cringe from time to time but gets better with every sip. Another must try again.

nice golden clouded color. Swete aroma and flavor to match. Alcohol is a little too present, but is balanced nicely by the malt. Not my favorite belgian ale, but something that would go well with a meal, not so much on its own.

A light color yellow cloudy colored beer, a light too carbonated. A fruity tart smell of peaches, oranges, grapes, and apples. Sweet tasting of fruit plus the nich high alcohol feeling warming you up. Not my favorite Unibroue Product but a good one indeed.

Not one of my favorite products from Unibroue. This was a light yellow- overly carbonated belgianb that was very sweet and alcoholic. A little too sweet for my tastes

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2003 (Re-Rate) I try to like this beer, hence my third re-rate. I was rather harsh the first couple of times and I am learning to appreciate ’La Fin du Monde’. Pours a thin pearly white head with a slightly cloudy, straw body. Looks beautiful. Thick carbonation. Aroma of lemon, honey and yeast. Bold and powerful dry taste. Getting to like you! (Original) Its like openning a bottle of turpentine. With all the alcohol in this beer it is hard to taste anything else. Originator to the term: Death by 6-pack. I can’t fathom why Unibroue makes this when they have so many excellent Quebec products. (Score 1.9)

i’ve had this several times but never in the circumstances to rate it. it is a hazy hefe light peachish color but that’s where the story ends, no banana bubble gum flavas goin on heyah. ok, maybe a tad bit of bubble gum. or juicy fruit? and even though you can’t really taste the alcohol you just KNOW it is strong cuz it hits your tummy in a warm whammy. (hubby said "ew, this is strong" so i might be mistaken about being able to taste the alcohol. then again, he likes bud.)

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2003 poured clear but settled in a schoolbus glow with big and little bubbles alike partying on top..
aroma spoke in showers of spice..coriander & nutmeg surrounded in orange peel forests and blizzards of cinnimon
aroma was a complete foreshadowing of the flavor except for the slight alcohol burn...a tad chalky in texture..overzelous carbination...turns to week old orange juice in the finish..average over spiced belgian
