"The end of the world. The excellence of triple fermentation through a blend of special yeasts gives this malt beverage an exquisitely robust flavor of exceptional refinement."

Has it really been 20 years since I first drank this, when it was new? Seems it is. Deep golden amber body, crowned with an active white head. Belgian yeast fills the room on the pour, assaulting the nose. Some definite pepper notes round out the aromas. Fairly creamy mouth feel. On the tongue there is the aforementioned Belgian yeast, bananas, cloves, pepper, and yes a hint of alcohol, which really isnít surprising. I like this beer a lot, but it isnít a beer one could drink regularly, sporting that 9% abv.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Has a nice yeast aroma that is well balanced and not off-putting. Appearance- Pours a golden yellow with a thick white head. Taste- Fantastic flavor of yeast and malt, the ABV is well masked. Palate- A medium bodied mildly carbonated beer. Overall- A world class beer, this should be on everyoneís must try list.

This is a really good beer from the province of Quebec, Canada. Really fruity and subtile. But itís 9% so you get drunk really fast before you even know it! Faite attention, be careful! ;)

Pours cloudy gold with a huge white head. Sour lacquer and pine needle aroma with yeasty notes. Triple umph tastes of alcohol, pine and some sweet notes too. A lot going on but more of a fight than a symphony. Oily with good carbonation. Not bad.

Pours golden orange with white lacey head. Aroma of floral hops, orange peel, and spice, moderate mouth feel with moderate carbonation. Flavor of honey, spice, and citrus finishing crisp and dry.

Chimay chalice. Been drinking a lot of tripels lately, both Belgian and otherwise and this one doesnít match up well. Iím getting a pronounced metallic taste and a lack of complexity as well as a somewhat biting carbonation which seems artificial. As usual, Iím letting the beer warm up to bring out more flavor. Bought it an hour ago off an uncooled shelf in a store and rode it home in 55f weather in a bike bag, but as it warms up to room temps, it is more complex. Pretty fanciful map of Northern Quebec and Newfoundland on the label, an area which must be íla fin du mondeí in bug season.

4/4/15 (Bottle) - Golden pour with generous white head, mild carbonation. Yeast and bread aromas, with a hint of citrus. Excellent taste of malts, yeast, somewhat sweet and balanced. Excellent feel, smooth, nice kick to it, and with the large bottle you are set for the afternoon.Overall excellent beer!

341 ml single bottle from Liquor Depot, served in my fancy Moninger Ratscherrn Pilsener chalice thingy. Ah, "The End of the World", a perfect name for a 9% abv offering from Quebec. Pours a slightly hazy orange-yellow with moderate carbonation and a crackling, rapidly diminishing milk-white head, leaving spots of lace. Aroma features very bright malts - very nice! -backed up by banana in bunches, and spicy clove, along with what seems like herbal hops (difficult to tell with the heavy banana). Flavor is a bold, yeasty weiss-style with tremendous banana, clove, and touches of bubble gum, with wheatiness tying it all together. Mildly thick and with a bit of a spice note that lingers on tongue and into the throat. Many wheat beers are high-octane offerings, and this is Canadaís contribution, which fits honorably into the profile with identifiable flavor and aroma traits.

Pours a hazy straw from the tap, yeasty/lemon nose, smells almost sour. Flavor is a puckering maltiness, dry (IMHO) but still with some light caramel notes. Hides alcohol well. Very good beer.
