Well balanced spiced ale, beautifully golden in the glass, thin head that dissipates quickly. The taste is smooth and pleasant, with a hint of banana.

Poured from keg at Thirsty Monk in Asheville, NC. Hazy golden-yellow color. White head with very little retention. Aroma was delicate and took some serious work. I might be congested, but I got some sugary sweet yeast notes. The taste had a fairly prominent Belgian yeast quality that was boozy with a decent, but light carbonation. Mouthfeel was sugary sweet and coated my mouth.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle, BB12/2014, picked up along the way in WI/MI Sep 2013. pours a dull murky goossberry yellow-green with ok head, oily texture. Quite a refined compote/near-marmelade aroma of pear, ripe apple, white grape. Taste falls short of this aroma, delivering all mentioned ripe/autumn fruit flavours, but centering around a yeasty, sticky sugary centre that lightly coats the palate in an artificial aspartame powder sugars. Stylewise more than OK, though not my favourite kind of beer. Likeness with Delirium/Guillotine.

Overall, still after all these years, such a great well balanced triple, truly a pinnacle of the Unibroue brewery.

Wow - what a good beer! Nice pour with good head, hazy in glass. Great aroma and great taste - impressed by how bold and complex both smell and taste were, but also extremely well balanced between all the fruity, spicy, malt, yeast elements. Only a hint of alcholol in the finish, but not a negative. Not heavy at all

This beer was pretty good. We tasted it at the public house in the Venetian in Las Vegas.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This one presents a delectable olfactory kick. Sweet maple syrup and the yeasts are certainty prevalent as it smells like cookie dough. Thick and heavy texture. Tastes of banana, bubblegum, and syrup. Very sweet with negligible hops. I’m generally not fond of sweeter brews, but this one is quite alright.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours hazy golden with three fingers of rich foamy head and ample carbonation. Belgian yeast aroma with grassy notes and some spice. Crisp, dry champagne-like Belgian flavor with hints of apple. I really enjoy this one. If it really is the end of the world, I’m ok with this being my final beverage.
