Oct 17, 2008 12 oz bottle. Light and yellow/fizzyish. Nice musty, spicy, farmhouse nose. Slightly sweet and more like a farmhouse/saison ale rather than a triple. Very drinkable for a 9% beer. Nice.

Oct 11, 2008 Good beer, but totally overrated. It smells nice, but really is too light to earn such a high rating. It tastes of pears and other sweet fruitiness. The finish is quick and not bitter. A good beer if you are thirsty, but not complex enough or heavy enough if you want something you can really appreciate.

Oct 11, 2008 Pours an orange color with quickly dissapating white head. Taste of fruit and cinnamon. One of the most drinkable beers I ever had. You would never know it has a 9% ABV.

Oct 8, 2008 Updated: Oct 19, 2008Orange beer with short lasting white head. Light, flowery and spicy aroma. Ginger snaps, brandy and spices lead to a somewhat metallic and orangey middle and pleasant malty end. Light and somewhat thin-bodied but delicious nonetheless.

Oct 7, 2008 Beatiful nose: pears, yeast and bread crumbs and a fake orange candy aroma
If you hate the dryness of beers than this is the beer for you. This is like sweet candy and I’m not really feeling it. This is a dssert beer. WOW. However, this is clean and smooth and the water is pure. I’m kind middle of the road on this beer--its tooo sweet for me.
Not bad though.

Pours a murky, cloudy light gold in color. Two fingers of head forms on the pour. Smell is highly yeasty, with some spice and a decent amount of lemon. Taste has actually quite a bit of yeast to it. There is more of the fruity overtones, with more than just the lemon flavor showing up. Decent mouthfeel and highly carbonated. Decent, but it’s not "The Don".

Oct 5, 2008 Another wonderous beer from Unibroue. This breweryt can’t seem to make a bad beer. Had in bottle. At 9 % this is a bit steep. Can smell the alcohol, and the taste is strong and harsh. Aroma of fermenting fruit and alcohol. Yeasty and maltyt flavour is mixed among the stong 9 % abv flavour. Mouthfeel is unusual and completely standard for a unibroue beer. Wonderful beer overall.
