Classic tripel. Flavors of white wine, pear, banana, slight sourness and funk, candi sugar. Plenty of yeast which rounds out the palate as well as the flavor. Probably the best use of yeast of any Unibroue beer. Pretty full-bodied for the style.

Bomber bottle pour. Hazy orange thin head. Malty, wheaty, fruity aroma. Yeasty funk. Typical tripel. Fruits, wines, and a finish that makes me think I just drank milk.

Bottle purchased at Haskells in Maple Grove. Consumed in snifter glass. Hazy gold color and a minor head that keeps its form as the beer is consumed. Yeast present in the aroma with some underlying sweetness. Taste brings to mind slightly funky, sour notes with the good spice characteristics. A little bit of fruit to be found...probably banana. Has that tangy mouthfeel expected of a tripel. Highly enjoyable finish. Definitely a fan of this rendition. For this one I’ll happily blame Canada.

Quite tolerable and quaffable for a Tripel. Pours an unfiltered straw colour with big white head. Aroma is of basement, booze, lemon, yeast, and grapes. Tastes of grapes, candy, and lemon. Has a sweet, smooth body that his highly carbonated and a little chewy. You feel the booze in this bad boy.

I go out of my way to find this stuff. La Fin Du Monde is sweet, balanced, and strong. It’s one of my absolute favorite beers.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2014 330ml bottle served in a tulip glass. My 50th review, with class... ;) A: Pours a yellow to orange golden color. Bit cloudy. Forms a medium bubbled head with low retention and very few lacings left S: Smell is sweet, grainy and quite spicy. Complex. Notes of cinnamon, coriander, honey, pepper, vanilla, orange zest, flowery hops and yeasts. Malts backbone. A bit of alcohol in the very end T: Complex as the nose: Sweet, grainy and spicy upfront. Again, notes of honey, coriander, cinnamon, vanilla, malts, pepper, orange zest and bready-earthy yeasts. Mild bitter finish M: Heavy body. Creamy and molasses. Medium carbonation. Bittersweet aftertaste which is also quite spicy O: good beer. Perhaps a little bit too spicy. Quite different from the Belgian Tripels I’ve tasted. Strong Unibroue character [ BA Review @ 1/30/2010 ]
