| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jun 13, 2008 Presentation: It was poured from a 750ml bottle that is corked and caged into a chalice. It has a hazy body with a light golden amber color with a pale orange hue. The head is smooth, thick and creamy with good retention. It has a creamy off white color and it leaves behind soft lacing as it is slowly sipped down to the bottom of the glass. The aroma is full and fruity. There is sweet orange citrus and spicy character with a big hit of yeast and tropical fruits like pineapple. It has a sweet rich and fruity malt and yeast flavor up front. Tropical fruit like pineapple and guava are noted. Soft spices come out and the alcohol starts to warm things up. Hops add a light citrus and leafy flavor before the yeast comes back out and turns powdery and slightly dry in the slow lingering finish. The texture is smooth and creamy with perfect carbonation for the medium body. Outstanding and wonderfully complex with great drinkability.

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 10, 2008 Great looking beer. It rivaled Duvel for foamy head, and had beautiful lacing. Head settles down to about a quarter inch that lasted throughout. Not quite as chunky as Duvel. Opaque, orangish yellow color.
Aroma was very Belgian. Yeasty, sugary, fruity.
Tasted much like liquid bubblegum, with some hints of orange and candy. Very well balanced.
Nice mouthfeel. Light carbonation. An excellent finish, leaving the mouth clean and wanting more.
This is an excellent beer. Well balanced, and each sip leaves you wanting more. A little strong to drink a lot of, but an excellent choice that I will buy again.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 9, 2008 Darker orange, murky. Fluffy white frosting head. Zesty carbonation up front which leads to spice. Warming alcohol and some light bitterness on the back end. Light fruits and orange present in nose and flavor. Cant believe this is the first time I rated this classic. Cybercat (793), Georgia, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 9, 2008 This pours a pretty golden-orange, fairly clear, not a lot of head. Aroma is malty with a strong hint of citrus. Flavor is strong and malty and has some hoppy and fruity hints. Finish is smooth and refreshing. This is an insidious beer, though, as you don’t taste the alcohol, so it can sneak up on you. thejon375 (392), Tampa, Florida, USA
