4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured into a tulip out of a 750ml bottle.
Pours a hazy medium orange with a huge four finger billowy head. It takes quite a while for the head to settle down in order to fill up the glass. Really impressive head retention and lacing.
Aroma is very fruity and spicy with orange peel and some coriander. Maybe even a touch of clove and pineapple thrown in there. Very nice.
The flavor continues the characteristics found in the aroma but there is an addition of a quick shot of caramel up front. A big rush of orange peel follows with some clove and banana. There is a moderate dryness towards the finish and the finish is fairly clean. Alcohol is completely hidden.
Overall, this is a very nice Tripel. Probably not the best I have ever had but it is up there. I would say this is the best non-Belgian example of the style I have come across.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle from Brewmaster’s in Wilson. Golden-Orange hue, normal clarity with 1-1/2 finger thick fully lasting frothy white head. Citrus fruits, spice (clove), water aromas. Smelled and tasted like a clove cigarette. Moderate bitter nutmeg and clove up front with a light average spice finish. Again, tasted like a clove cigarette. Light body, fizzy carbonation, oily texture. I usually do not like Abbey beers, but the spice/clove aroma and taste did it for me. It could have also been because I was enjoying it outside in the kick ass weather we had yesterday or because I like pumpkin beers. Either way I liked it.

Draft. Hazy straw with medium white head. Aroma of fruit (pears and apple), grain, and some yeast notes. Light body with fruit, Belgian, and yeast notes, some graininess, and a sweet honey finish.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma - typical banana-clove aroma
Appearance - not too pale, not too clear, not too orange - a perfect tripel, impressive head (used a wide chalice)
Taste - aroma (estre) driven subtle blend of banana and juniper, slightly citric fresh watery finish
Palate - noble juniper and chinine-like bitterness only subtler with only a trace of bitterness from alcohol
Overall - I suppose this was the main inspiration for Pinta’s Sahti "Happy End" (literal translation of the Polish market name is also "End of the world", it’s a thicker beer with strong uneven banana-sausage taste and totally hidden 8% ABV). A noble tripel, I regret I haven’t spared it for a special occasion. I only would like it thicker but it’s impossible due to the triple fermentation. Will surely drink it again. 341 ml bottle from "Drinks of the world" Zurich

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(from notes) 12 oz bottle into a pint at Basement Burger Bar on February 19. The pour is a foggy gold, a little darker in color than a light gold. There is no head to be found, and naturally zero lace. The aroma is HUGE Belgian yeast! There is a light booziness and some caramel maltiness, but for me, it’s mostly all yeast. The flavor is more of the same. Belgians are definitely not my thing, but I can’t get over the yeastiness and breadiness of this thing. It’s definitely comparable to drinking a weird bread. There is perhaps some dark fruits resonating through the flavor. The mouth feel is solid. It’s definitely thick, and creamy, and the aftertaste isn’t so great, but t’s decent for a Belgian, which, again, aren’t my thing

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle (soon to be 2-12oz bottles). A definite citrus aroma and flavor people are saying cloves a lot and I have to agree. The flavor is strong but only for a few second and leaves a lesser citrus taste on the tongue. I’m not 100% sure of what wine drinkers mean by "dry", but that is what came to mind after drinking this beer. The color is light and opaque with a very little head that keeps getting less and less. I’m not real big into the sweeter beer styles but this is a good beer.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with full head. Aromas Belgian yeast, lemons and spicy banana bread. Flavors of lemons, cloves, resin, and toasted malts. One of the great Quebec beers of yore. (OK the last ten years.)

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Decent Belgian triple but slightly too peachy sweet for my liking. Relatively highly carbonated which is refreshing but I prefer the heavier tasting Belgian ales.
