Very cloudy, caramel-orange color. Well-defined citrus flavor (oranges?) Spices and yeast flavors abound. Not for the faint of heart, although the alcohol content does not overwhelm you. Overall, a pretty good Tripel.

Yields a completely hazed, sun-yellow color, with a small white head, leaving back a thick lacing. Smells of an intriguing blend, featuring clove, cardamon, white pepper and slightly spiced dried fruit, especially lemon. Has a high, very lively carbonation, enabling the peppery and sweeter spices and a very soft, dough ending. Drinks best in small sips, as for its intense spice profile. Dough yeast brings peppery spices immediately to the palate, balanced by wild honey and spring flowers. Rock sugar adds to the prominent spices, almost creating a short burn, evoked by the high carbonation and the higher alcohol, gently coated up by the soft yeast. Finishes with rock sugar, amping up the spices even more, bringing back a flowery note and well pronounced clove. Well working, old school triple, featuring a very pronounced spiciness, which defines the beer’s taste throughout. Exhibits a fuller and very pleasant mouthfeel, with feathering yeast doing a great job in balancing the spice onslaught

Tons of pressure behind the cork followed by tons of white foam in the glass. Nice lace work as it collapses. Smooth Tripper with a nice yeasty flavor to it. Definitely a keeper for a cellar.

Sample pour from bottle. Pours a bright yellow, clear, fluffy white head to it. Aromas of fruit, yeast, spice. Flavor had banana, lemon, grass, sour funk. Pretty solid brew. Full body, creamy texture, lively carbonation with a dry finish. Not bad all.

Pours a hazy golden color, topped with a decent white frothy head, ok retention. Malty, yeasty aroma, some fruity notes and spices. Taste is similar, yeasty with some spices, alcohol can be noted, slight malty sweetness and mild bitterness. Not unpleasant, but not to my liking as well.

Rated based on notes taken 21 Dec 2012 -- Drank at the Flying Saucer in Houston. Pretty solid beer. I think this is my first craft beer I ever drank from Canada.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2015 12 oz bottle. Hazy yellow, orange with a short bubbly white head. Pretty beer, huge lacing. Aroma is thick with very ripe fruit, banana, spices. Beer is spicy with white pepper, clove, just a little bitterness. Banana, citrus, apple cider, pears. Very good carbonation.

750ml bottle. Light hazy yellow golden color with white head. Yeasty aroma, fruity and spicy. Sweet and light bitter taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft to average carbonation.

UPDATED: JUL 26, 2015 12 oz bottle dated "best before" 7 Sept., 2012 (from notes). Pours with a white head. Plenty of sediment in the bottle, much of which remains despite a light swirl mid-pour, but some of which comes out at the end of the pour tainting (aesthetically) the center of the white head. Head has excellent duration but leaves little lacing. Liquid is a cloudy yellow-gold. Mainly fruity yeast and (apparent) spices in the aroma, with a touch of hops and hints of apples, bananas and pears. The taste is also quite yeasty-fruity, with hints of apples and apricots, and even some dark fruits. The high ABV is very well hidden in both the aroma (until it warms up) and the taste. Seems like there is more flavor in the finish than earlier on. Lightly tart. M: refined, champagne-like feel, although with more body. O: not my favorite style, but quite enjoyable nonetheless. I can easily see others giving this a very high rating. Flavorful and refreshing, but better as a slow sipper than as a session brew. Complex aroma and flavor.

Bottle pour into tulip. Hazy yellow with generous head. Quite carbonated. Initially tastes like any Belgian ale, but with a lot of complexities and subtleties to it; I get spiced apple, pear, banana, and peach out of it. Finishes with more spice and some sweetness. Quite good...and I’m not normally a fan of trippels!

Big white head that drops quickly to a thin layer of tight bubbles. High carbonation. Nice lacing. Hazy straw. Spicy, lemon, slight banana aroma. Lemon, pear, caramelized apple flavour. Complex and layered. Full mouthfeel with a drying yet sweet aftertaste.
