UPDATED: MAY 13, 2007 Bottle, served in Duvel glass at Fresh Starts, Flossmoor, IL. Cloudy yellow, with a fluffy white head. First smell impression is of a bit of orange juice, then diluted honey. Beyond the usual candi sugar taste is something complex and hard to distinguish; a horsey bit, perhaps, and staled hops. As I go further down, it gets pretty heady. Picks up a bit of a wit note, too, leading to a white wine finish. The bottle was dated "best by 11-17-07," so Im guessing its pretty young, and may have been different just a few months later. Very expertly poured by the bartender to leave most of the yeast in the bottle. A most excellent and intriguing brew.

Very well balanced between: sweet, bitter, yeast, and alcohol (feels lighter than 9%). Peach with a hint of banana, and spicy finish - especially clove. Excellent beer! (tasted 03/26/16)

Pours a cloudy golden with a mild yeast aroma, very mild lemon taste with evident carbonation & a very smooth, heavenly finish. Thank You.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle into a tall tulip glass. Very cloudy, gold in color with a huge, pillowy, white head. As the head recedes it leaves a very light lacing on the glass. The nose is yeasty with a hint of spice and banana. Medium sweet, malty and soft. Pleasantly long finish.

Meget frugtagtig l.

Pour is a dark orange, hazy and thick like honey. Tiny sparkling qualities to it. Smell is a tad nutty, cut grass, citrus and a thick malt. Taste is similar, barely any citrus, nice nutty balance against a lingering bitterness that balances against yeast

At Milanos in a snifter. A classic triple. Pours murky golden with a small head. Wheaty sweet with a creamy mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

bottle at home from beers of the world geneva
quite orangey gold with dense off-white head collapsing to lacing. Very warming, lots of weizen like clovey esters and a touch of banana, full bodied, spritzy carbonation warming alcohol, reminds more of a weizenbock, quite sweet and fruity. V enjoyable, bit of alcohol burn - triple fermentation does not make it a tripel but certainly Belgianesque
