UPDATED: OCT 3, 2012 Bought a case of bottles cost me 75 bucks. It pours a thick yellow cloudy golden hue. The abv% is hidden great. Great powerful flavors that last on the palate. Over its worth a try. It?s a very unique abby.

Another great beer from Unibroue. Very strong tasting though, hard to drink more than one in a sitting. Not Unibroue’s best work, but certainly not bad either.

A - Hazy golden body with a firm 2 fingers of foam. Solid retention with minimal lacing. S - Thick yeasty aromas. Banana, Belgian candi, golden raisins, pears, citrus and floral hops. A touch of basement dust as it warms. T - Banana, pears, clove, lemon grass, white pepper. Wheaty malt holds strong before drying out on the finish. Mild hops provide a spicy grass character M - Creamy, full but light body with perfect carbonation. One of my favorite Tripels. The wheat-like malt effortlessly blends with the yeast esters and spice to create a smooth easy drinking beer. Serving type: bottle 11-14-2011

Tulip. Cloudy gold with a thick white head. Slightly sweet smell, notes of citrus, hopes and maybe just a bit of malts. A full bodied beer that surprisingly doesn’t taste like it would be 9% ABV. Malty to begin, this changes to notes of citrus, ends a bit dry and this was the only time I really detected the alcohol taste. Pretty good.

Yellow-gold with quick-diminshing white head. Sweet musty Belgian yeast on the nose. Taste - sweet and mellow flavors. Honey, spicy, maybe a touch of cinnamon, clove and belgian malt. Even though the flavors are mellow it has a rich palate. A top-notch tripel.

Pours a hazy yellow, floral aroma, grass and citrus favor..leaves a bit of a metallic taste afterwards. Can’t tell it’s a 9.0% goes down smoothly if it’s cold enough. Dry finish on the palate. Overall good beer
