AR (414), Georgia, USA Mar 27, 2009 This is a nice and smooth Belgian with a good flavor. The taste consist on a mixture of grapes and tangerines, with just a slight hint of a milk chocolate. southamptonsam (81), New York, USA Mar 21, 2009 Nice beer that compares favorably to many Belgian Quads. Fruity and well-balanced. Alcohol is hidden well. lithy (1600), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Mar 19, 2009 Pours a dark dark brown with a thin tan cover. Some apparent alcohol, a plum fruitiness. Taste is a heavy dark malt sweetness, with berries over top, and less abrasive alcohol. Nice warming sensation. johnnygm (38), Santiago, Chile Mar 15, 2009 I had tried others from Unibroue, and I knew what to expect from this one. Deep brown/purple color, fruity aroma, mostly berries and dark toasted sugar, and impressive in palate. It’s almost a licquor. It’s a completely different experience than your average beer. TaxiDriver (908), Stadland, Germany Mar 15, 2009 Bottle. The aroma is light fruity, a little bit of yeast, also light sweet and creamy, overall rather mild. The brown creamy head is medium large, she stays long. The body is black. The taste is light bitter, very soft alcoholic, reminds me a little bit of wine, A creamy body which gets silky in the finish. Not much carbonation, the body is light to medium. A nice soft beer. BrianDorry55 (117), Spring Hill, Florida, USA Mar 13, 2009 750ml bottle from Willow Bend Liquors in Lutz, FL. Pours a very dark brown, almost black with a small beige head. Aroma is alot of caramel, some cocoa, some plum, and a good amount of alcohol. Flavor is cocoa, plum, caramel, and a good amount of alcohol. Good flavor, but too much alcohol for my liking. Medium, sticky mouthfeel. But a nice alcohol burn. This is good...but again, a bit too much alcohol for me.
