La Terrible is a dark brown beer on lees and is part of a collection of exotic and refined Unibroue beers brewed using 100% natural raw materials. Sample at Aarhus beerfestival. Medium head with medium duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are malt, hops and fruits. Bittersweet finish.

Pours a dark cola brown with a fizzy head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is strong ripe fruits (bananas and cherries), molasses and chocolate with just a hint of yeast and spices. Tastes drier and yeastier than the aroma lets on, with a bit of alcohol burn. Notes of port wine, cola (!) and chocolate accompany the fruits from the aroma. The mouthfeel is a bit harsh - this would be fantastic if it had a little less carbonation and the alcohol was a little more well-hidden. Very good overall, though, and probably the best I’ve had from Unibroue.

Hello. Surprising dark brown / black pour but easier on the palate than expected. Kind of a punchy malt taste to it, which was different, but in a good way. Random buy that will probably happen again. I enjoyed it quite a bit for something different.

Bottle, pours a dark brown, with a nice head, lots of dark fruit, with a bit chocolate and banana, clove, and bisquits. Alcohol is not overwhelming considering its above 10%. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Pour is dark golden/brown with a very thick brown head. Very carbonated. Aroma is of dark fruit, molasses, malt, and spices. Flavor is medium to full bodied with same taste as aroma. Very good brew. Would buy again.

750 mL bottle, pours a deep red-brown body with light brown, very bubbly head. Aroma of dark fruits - mainly plum and raisin, along with carmel and malts. Flavor is similar to the aroma with notes of banana, spice, and bread. Slight alcohol burn to the finish. Medium to heavy body with an oily, cloying mouthfeel.

Bottle in NO w/ Pete. Random find! Flavor is super sweet, yeasty, with some dark fruits intertwined w/in the sweetness. Robust, full bodied, but a sugar plum bomb. Not quite a mess, but this is nowhere near delicate, nor complex - and a tough one to drink.

Bottle. Low white head. Hazy very dark body. Caramel coffee aroma with vineous notes. Mild caramel sweet vineous flavor. Long aftertaste and low carbonation.
