| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 31, 2007 Bottle: Pours a color that is reminiscent of dirty chocolate syrup with a smaller beige head. Aroma is light, but sweet and spicey with bits of Belgian yeast. Flavor is rich with dark malts, candied fruits, caramel, hints of spice, and somewhat viney. Very smooth, yet crisp and spicey finish. On the negative side, maybe a bit overly fruity. Still, very good. Thanks to my secret santa for this treat. yngwie (4881), Kristiansand, Norway

(RBNAG 07) Pours an almost clear, deep brown body with some microfloaties. Beige head. Sweetish nose with some dried fruits, beef-stock notes and a wee hint of cellar. Flavorwise it’s dried fruits, brown sugar sweetness and nots of cellar. There’s alcohol too, but it’s far from overpowering. Full, slightly sweetish mouthfeel. Yet another beauty from Canada. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 29, 2007 2004 bottling (aprox. 3 years old at rating). Malt ball like nose with the combination of chocolate and malted barley. The mouthfeel is amazing, it is lush and silky with fine champagne like bubble that gushes out of the beer & fills the mouth like creamy cotton balls. Flavors have a bit of uncooked flour The finish is a bit rough with a raw, uncooked flour and sugar snap pea (vegetable) note. Over all a very nice beer mar (1763), Dallas, Texas, USA
