| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 31, 2007 Oh man. What a treat this is going to be. 750ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a small tan head and light carbonation. Beautiful!!! The aroma was an instant blast of over ripened fruits (plum, cherry), malts, mild sourness. Every once and a while you know right away you are in for a treat just from the aroma. Flavor is tart boozy fruits, rich malts, maybe hints of black licorice. I can feel it starting to warm my gut. Flavor is so smooth you would never guess it is 10.5% alc. Served in a De Koninck glass. A truely beautiful beer.
