| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 30, 2007 Pours black, with a small, yet well-retained, creamy light tan head. Huge, sweet, dark fruit aroma, sweet molasses, and yeast. Lovely aroma. The flavor was much of the same. The sweet dark fruits and malts blend together nearly perfectly. Traces of sweet cinnamon and yeasty residue are left on the palate, as the aftertaste is sweet with semblances of some funk. Aged 3 years, so it has gotten a little funky, but I think in a very good way. Drinking very good right now. Probably my favorite Unibroue beer. thenick (744), North Bellmore, New York, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 30, 2007 Bomber. Pours a deep ruby color with a small off-white head. Aroma is malt, candy sugar, and chocolate. Taste is the same, with a nice hop characteristic, wonderful raisin flavors, and the syrupy consistency of a liqueur. Alcohol noticeable at the end. One of my favorite sipping beers. TBone (6736), Pori, Finland

Dark ruby color, small off-white head. Sweet, a bit chocolaty nose. A bit earthy liquerish palate, some toffee, toned alcohol and light hoppy notes. This is quite interesting "slow beer" and not terrible at all. oh6gdx (8840), Vasa, Finland
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 29, 2007 Bottled. Deep amber colour, mediumsized brown head,. Aroma is really strong raisiny and alcoholic (barley wineish) with caramel malts and some yeast in it too. Flavour is raisins, alcohol, some sweet malts and also vanilla & chocolate. Aftertaste is really vanillaish. BigBen2120 (688), Derry, New Hampshire, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 26, 2007 750ml from Ron’s. Pours dark brown/black with just the slightest ruby-red highlights and about an inch of offwhite head that dissipates rather surprisingly quickly. Smells woody initially, with raisins, chocolate, nut, banana, and burnt qualities all playing equally big roles, with just a hint of pith. Tastes roasty, burnt, and raisony, with a good doses of chocolate, nut, banana, and citrus/pith playing huge roles too, with wood, nuts, and raisins playing bigger roles toward the finish and aftertaste Wow, this tastes great. Full rich velvety mouth-feel that makes this a relatively easy drinker for what a big beer it is. Alcohol is oddly absent from the aroma, flavor, and mouth-feel, so its effects sneak up on you with this beer. Wow. This beer is amazing - leaps and bounds better than I remember it being. Another slam-dunk for Unibroue! holdenn (1437), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 25, 2007 750 ml. thanks to the big man johnycorkscrew for this. Pours a dark brown with ruby hints and a white head. Aroma is spicy, plums and rasins. Flavors is typical unibroue - overrated. More of those dark fruits, carmels, alcohol, and as devon stated below that unibroue yeast. Seriously I’m waiting for these guys to not leave me disappointed. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA

Hazy dark brown with medium white head. Aroma was very spicy and typical unibroue with some dark fruit and maple syrup thrown in there for good measure. Flavor is dark fruit, spice, quite a bit of alc, and ofcourse that unibroue yeast flavor. Medium body with lively carbonation. Very nice, thanks again for bringing it johny!! drewbeerme (2271), Chicago, Illinois, USA
