La Terrible is a dark brown beer on lees and is part of a collection of exotic and refined Unibroue beers brewed using 100% natural raw materials. Bottle, Mondial 2009. Black fizzy head. Aroma is yeast and raisins. Carbonation is quite intense and very fizzy. Taste is sweet dark fruits. Body feels thin. Among my top Unibroues (with the 17) !

Bottle. Drank from a trappist glass. Pours dark brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma of dark fruits and spice. Tastes of plum, licorice, and alcohol present. Very easy to drink despite the high abv.

Finaly a non belgian, belgian styled quality ale. Dark brown look with a decent light brown head. Fruity aroma of raisins and nuts with dark sugers and alchohl. Smooth palate, with a nice toffee sweetness again with some nutty notes and full alchohol.

Amazing beer.....It’s been a long while since i drank it but its better then i remembered. The beer pours very dark with a thick creamy head. The aroma hits you hard with heavy red wine like characteristics. Despite the strong alc. content it flows down your throat very easily, witch can land you in trouble for example the last time i drank this brew at this local pub i go to "Gully House, a home for drunken fools" i ended up wearing 12 pairs of underwear rainbow toe socks and scaring a bunch of female patrons up stairs when i ran by with darts in my hand, but i digress. This strong ale is truly a great beer and i would recommend it to any one (except Wyan i hate that f**k)

I do like this brewery. Deep, dark, fruity and flavorful, and a killer ABV... cream colored head lingers slightly, but the full body of this beer is great. Deserves the cork.

Pours dark molasses with a residual creamy tan head. Aromas of spice, a little dark fruit(cherries and raisin), and yeast. The flavor is of raisin, bread, dark fruit, and spice. A little on the carbonated side and the alcohol comes through a little much.

Pours dark brown and bubbly. Full of flavor and aroma. Some dark fruit flavor and aroma. This beer has a very malty flavor that is is well balanced with the fruit flavors and alcohol flavors in the beer. Slight sugary flavors yet well balanced. Very nice beer. I wish I could find this year round.

750ml bottle at our KW group tasting thanks to Jan Primus, thanks Jan! Pours a dark brown with a large white head. Smells awesome, Unibroue yeast, very malty and the fruit esters are great, cherry, mellon, green apples, and some booze. Flavour is a perfect reflection of the aroma, with a mild boozy touch that is well in check. So well integrated, the medley of flavours come in delicious waves. Yeasty as one would expect from Unibroue, and there’s a minor hint of roasty malts in there. This is definitely the best Unibroue product I’ve had so far, so well done. Why the hell can’t we get this without going to Buffalo?
