LadyCooper (100), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Mar 13, 2007 Pours an opaque brown with a big fluffy head and a yeasty aroma. Has a malty, chocolatey flavour mixed with that banana-ey yeast Weissbier flavour. Rounds off with a big warm alcohol kick. Love it!
bw1982 (19), , Arizona, USA Jan 5, 2009 12 ounce bottle. Pours a very dark amber color, almost a brown with a slightly off white head. The aroma is primarily a nice sweet malt. The palate is nice, slightly dry but it feels like it fills the mouth. The flavors are strong, there are some hints of molasses and fruit but with a strong malty background. The alcohol is not overly strong, but it does provide some warmth. All in all, this was a very excellent beer. pjweaver (125), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 4, 2009 Trappist glass.
