Pours a tiny bubbled creamy long lasting head over a slightly cloudy golden body.....nose of clove, banana, similar complex esthers....tastes of clove allspice nutmeg.....mouthfeel is lighter than many a Unibroue...kind of fits into the strong golden/light tripple category. matt7215 (1002), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 7, 2009 750ml bottle shared by me at our second KW group tasting. Thanks me! Pours a very nice hazy pale gold with a decent white foamy head. Aroma is just pretty much entirely Unibroue yeast with some nice sweet indistinct malts in the immediate background, some apple and sour tartness present as well on a minor scale. Flavour is very reflective, some nice malt body in here, very tasty. Nothing over the top or very special, just a really tasty Quebecois rendition of a mildly strong Belgian Ale. Very glad I picked this up in a Dep in Hull-Gatineau a month or so ago. Drink4Satan (586), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 5, 2009 Pours a translucent golden colour with a puffy, dense white head that has medium retention. The nose is laced with wheat, clove, estery Belgian yeast and grahm cracker. The flavour is characterized by wheat and honey sweetness, balanced with high beta-acid earthy hops. There are fruity nuances of lemon zest, apple and pear, pretty standard, though well done. The finish is slightly warming, very spicy, and a tad phenolic. The mouthfeel is light, effervescent and drying. Pretty good beer to drink casually and party with, as it’s quaffable, tasty, available and sturdy for an ale. emerica56 (587), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 5, 2009 Pours a cloudy yellow orange with a thin white head. The nose is nice and floral and has a lemon zest. The flavor is nice and bitter and has some lemon grass with a nice bready funk. You can really taste that wheat and malt in the after taste. Overall it has good carbonation and a well balanced flavor with good use of hops. Also the booze is well hidden under all of the funky carbonation. Fred82 (408), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Wheat and spices aroma. Nice aroma. Taste is spices, coriander and citrusy. Tasted couple bottles recently and found one who was quite bad. Had a strong metallic taste. Other than that, its a nice beer brewed for a fantastic event. Rating #45 golubj (1301), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 3, 2009 Bottle. Nice blond yellow pour with a good amount of white head. Aroma is light spices and pepper, maybe a little fruit and vegetal sweetness. Flavor is the same, some fruit (apricot?) sweetness and vegetables and spices in the aftertaste.
