Bomber bottle courtesy of Jadoreblanche. She sneakily picked this up for me on a recent stint in Quebec City, and I am grateful for the opportunity to try this. Poured a cloudy, hazy yellow with a frothy cap of white foam. Nice lace left behind as well. The nose was of pear, apple and lemon with spicy and floral notes, combined with the signature Unibroue yeast. Tasted of spices and semi sweet fruit consisting mostly of fresh pear and tropical fruit. Floral hops are also packing a punch here. Creamy, fruity and spicy finish with the alcohol not noticable at all. A solid effort.

Copper pour with frothy white head. Aroma is typical unibroue spicy yeast with lemon and clove. Flavor is quite spicy and prickly with lemon and orange peel. Viscous and tasty.

Bomber at Jerrys. Hazy, dark gold with big, foamy white head / Floral nose of apple, citrus, and spice / Medium body, Unibroue fizz, gentle balance of malts and hops, with a touch of sweetness and good finish / Flavors of banana, pear, orange, apple, clove, and coriander / A personal favorite from Unibroue.

This is interesting. I mean, they’re not re-inventing the wheel here, but it’s yummy.
Aroma is citrus, banana, yeast esters. Boring in the sense that it is a special beer. Lots of banana and wheat in the aroma too.
Taste is slightly apple and lemon, yeastiness.
Finishes kind of dull.

Pour is a blonde with a large fizzy white head. Aroma is fruity and typical Unibroue yeast. Not that that is a bad thing but all these beers have almost the same scent. Flavor is sour apple with lots of bready malts and a nice spice. Finish is dry and yeasty with a banana on the tounge. This is a pretty good beer and I’m glad i got to try it and i only hope it lasts long enough to get another bottle.

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2008 Draught at ’Pub Saint Alexandre’, Quebec City. Pours a slightly hazy, bubbly yellow-gold with an average size creamy white head. Aroma’s sweet along with Belgian yeast, alcohol and fruit (mainly apples). Spicy apple flavour, yeasty with faint smokey notes and some sugary sweetness. Alcohol well hidden. Medium bodied. Pretty good, not one of Unibroue’s best, but still a good beer.
(Note: I had this again in the bottle and loved it, it’s so tasty and refreshing -- bumped my rating from 3.5 to 3.7)

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2008 750ml bottle bought in Quebec. A very impressive looking bottle. Unfortunately for me the contents didn’t live up to it.
Poured a deep straw with a thick white head, that fell back gradually but didn’t completely disappear. The aroma was sweet and quite complex with apricot, corn and earthy touches. Quite prickly in the mouth to start but then becoming smooth and buttery. The flavour was rather oily with some sweet fruit, but dominated by the alcohol, and lacking any real finish. A pleasant enough Belgian style ale, but disappointing overall. I was expecting something far more special for the occassion.
