BeerFanDan17 (447), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Jan 1, 2009 Sampled at St Pete Creative Loafing Beerfest. A very sweet and wheaty brew. Nice balance! badgerben (3264), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Sep 20, 2008 Cloudy yellow color with a medium head. Smells like a Belgian Wit... lots of wheat, orange and light coriander. Strong yeast. The taste is equally spot on. Thick wheat and lighter malts. Honey, yeast, light coriander, bread are all there. Almost some lemon or lime on the finish. I wonder if this would get better ratings if it was labeled as a Belgian Wit. I was expecting a dark Belgian ale and was "let down" for a few seconds, until I started sniffing and drinking it. LinusStick (1644), Moon Township, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 28, 2008 This is the best Unibroue beer I’ve had yet. Incredible musty and funky aroma with a lot of yeast. Pour was a perfect light gold with a lot of bubbles and a huge 3 finger white head. Taste was fantastic. Lemon, yeast and funk in the front with a tart and sour dry aftertaste. Very heavy carbonation that bites the cheeks and refreshes. I thought most of their beers tasted very similar but this is a league of its own jstraw (549), Oak Park, Illinois, USA Aug 1, 2008 Bomber at Jerrys. Hazy, dark gold with big, foamy white head / Floral nose of apple, citrus, and spice / Medium body, Unibroue fizz, gentle balance of malts and hops, with a touch of sweetness and good finish / Flavors of banana, pear, orange, apple, clove, and coriander / A personal favorite from Unibroue. Eructoblaster (1288), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jul 11, 2008 On tap at l’Autre Oeil (Gatineau). Superb cloudy golden body with a lasting white foamy head. Awesome malty/hoppy aroma with yeasty, citrusy, and coriander hints. Alcohol is very well hidden. Taste is robust and well balanced. It carries sharp hoppy flavors and yeasty, fruity notes. Ends with a long, warming bittersweet finish. Probably Unibroue’s best beer since Charlebois sold the brewery to Sleeman’s.
