2002 bottling. Poured brown, with honey tones, no head, slightly cloudy. Armoa is sour, cherry, wine-like. Flavor is tart cherries, alcohol, wood, with a dry finish. No carbonation. I don’t think this bottle aged well. I think 6 years was too long before drinking.

Pours a syrupy red color with no carbonation. Nose is cherries, sugar, wood, and just a tinge of funk. Tatse is about the same, mostly cherrie pie and possibly oak? Taste is very sweet and a bit overbearing. Not the best fruit beer I have had.

Pours a lovely red hue with absolutely no carbonation. Aroma is sweet and juicy cherries. Flavor is deep red and black cherries, mildly sweet with a good touch of balancing sour. Finish is long lingering cherry flavor. Body is slightly syrupy, but not overly so. A very delicate and well crafted beer... though very different from most.......... Ive also tried this both warmed and on the rocks as the bottle suggest. Both seem crazy but yielded nice results.

Had this at the Headkeeper in Greensburg and it came out of the cooler. I let it set for awhile, but it was still kind of cold. Poured a deep burgundy color with almost no head. Raspberry and cherry aroma wiht some clove and cinnamon spice. The taste was of spicy sweet cherries with a lot of clove and a bit of nutmeg as well. It was kind of watery with almost no carbonation at all. Maybe it just wasn’t as good because it was still cool?

750ml. The cork came off with just a little pop, much less oomph than normal. Pours a pretty cherry color with just the tiniest white head. This rating is a combination of warm, room temperature, and chilled servings. At room temp this smells like thick, sweet, syrupy cherries. It’s not really that pleasing, really, and sort of reminds me of cough syrup. The heat definitely changes the aroma, making it worse smelling. Chillded version smells similar to room temperature one, just more subtle. More medicinal and less of the pleasing sweet cherry aroma. Taste is sweet, candy-like, cherry. Kind of like a jolly rancher. Full bodied but not really cloying. Alcohol hidden well. Doesn’t taste like a beer. It’s not bad, but it’s not really good. Warm tasted worse to me. Chilled is better and tastes the best and is the most drinkable of the three. Overall I did not like this.

Waaaaayyy too fruity. The lack of carb and overload of cherry flavor made i more like a wine or tea than a beer. I have a hard time even labeling this a beer because it lacks any beer qualities.

Bottle at red wine temp. Tart cherry aroma. Mahogany color with no head, just a slight white ring. Medium to full body with very mild carbonation. It is sweet, but not sickenly so. The cherry is not all that tart, but somewhat resembles a cooking cherry. Mild spice. I can imagine a little oak lingering in the background. That woodiness is a little more noticeable in the finish. Could be cherry pits. Very pleasing. Way less sweet than Lindeman’s Kriek, but much less sour than Rodenbach. It is what it is, and that’s pretty good.

Not very impressed with this one hot or cold. No head, no carb, Not much to resemble beer other than alcohol. Way too sweet with the tinge of artificial sweetner. Cherry flavor not as good as Lindeman’s either. The bottle was impressive though.
