Drink4Satan (585), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Nov 4, 2007 Got this from a trade with Moejuck, thatnks Joe! Had this hot, heated up on the stove, but I did give it a sip and a whif at room temp, which was extremely different from what I got when heated to roughly 150 F. The pour was, you guessed it, red with no head at all and no CO2 left after the heating process. The nose was heavily affected by the vapoization of ethanol. The aroma was semi-tart cherries and BOOZE. The flavour was sweet cherries and a bit of wood/vanilla. This is definitely a slow sipper, but as it cools, the booze is more well hidden and easier to drink. Good, but didn’t meet expecations. emerica56 (575), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Nov 3, 2007 This is a very interesting beer since you can drink it either cold, room temp or heated up. I chose to heat it up since i do not drink most beer like that. Initially whn i poured in into the pan to heat it was very rich in aroma mainly cherry and hints of vanilla. After i popured in into a glass it had a dark reed color no head at all and a smell of pure ethanol since it was hot. As i drank the beer you could really taste the booze as well as a nice cherry flavor which stayed around for a while. fro2218 (466), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Nov 2, 2007 Nice red-orange in color. This beer was very good cold, hot and at room temp. Nice cherry balanced with the malt. cbeers21 (563), Miami, Florida, USA Oct 28, 2007 Nice ruby pour with no head and very little carbonation. Warm spiced aromas emerge, that of cinnamon, applesauce, and cherry. There are some lingering clove and vanilla notes as well. The taste is marked by spice and fruit flavors which roll over the palate leaving a souring tinge on the back of the tounge and a quiet yeasty echo in the finish. Interesting and tasty brew. This proves to be versitile and could work in different situations, from winter warmer to summer refresher. Worth a try. Beershine (2677), Hue, Vietnam Oct 19, 2007 Updated: Feb 3, 2009There is absolutely nothing that can fill the pocket this beer fills. Intense marachino-like flavors with whispers of mulling spices creates a perfect wintertime treat and a fun conversation piece. Although chilled and room temp is ok, hot is hot. The aromas actually come out more when it’s room temp, the subtle sourness and slight woody accents are absolutely enticing. Love it. BeerVirgin72 (778), Pataskala, Ohio, USA Oct 14, 2007 Bottle shared at Cbus tasting 9 I THINK by Moejuck...The best part of the evening was watching him drunk trying to heat this up!!! HAH. This was my first warm beer. Very very nice. Taste was cherries and cider. Pours reddish brown with no carbonation (like juice). Aroma is sour cherry with hints of raison. A bit thick and syrupy and fairly sweet front. It has a little bit of a sour finish. Although I like this, I’m going to find it tough to finish the rest of this bottle. Its just a little too sweet and thick to drink a lot.
