| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 6, 2007 750ml bottle. Pours reddish brown with no carbonation (like juice). Aroma is sour cherry with hints of raison. A bit thick and syrupy and fairly sweet front. It has a little bit of a sour finish. Although I like this, I’m going to find it tough to finish the rest of this bottle. Its just a little too sweet and thick to drink a lot. mgumby10 (1850), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 6, 2007 POurs a lightly hazy deep red color with no traces of head whatsoever. Smells lightly tart and acidic with a profound cherry aroma in the nose. Smells about what I expected it to be. The flavor is somewhat acidic as well but the cherry flavor seems to be most dominant. Pretty sweet on the palate, almost a little too much for me, it was right on the border. It was ok, but certainly not my favorite cherry beer. I would have liked more carbonation, but I think that is the way this beer was designed. jhumphries69 (722), Tyrone, Georgia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 2, 2007 Cork-topped 750ml bottle. Pours a deep reddish brown with no head. Even when I attempt to pour vigorously, only a few, large bubbles appear. The aroma is strong and acidic: sour cherries, acetic (like a cherry vinaigrette), red-colored hard candy, cough syrup, and hints of molasses. The flavor starts strong and sweet with cherries. Big, chewy, sticky sun-dried cherries with some brown sugar and a hint of malt. There is a slight hint of acidity on the top of the tongue that quickly fades into sweetness. The middle of the tongue detects hints of fizz that provide a touch of sourness to balance out the sweetness. The flavor is incredibly fruity and a pleasant blend of sweet and sour, but it lacks any flavors that even vaguely resemble malt and hops. It is like a cross between a cherry soda (like Cheerwine) and a sweet wine. The finish is short and slightly herbal (hints of mint and tea leaves). The finish also is very full-bodied and big with sweet-and-sour (mostly sweet) cherry medicine. The mouthfeel is full and, despite the fact that it is almost completely flat, decently zippy. I think the acidity from the sour cherries closely enough resembles the carbonic acid bite of a carbonated beer that it fools the tongue into thinking it is somewhat sparkling. This definitely a very interesting and unique beer. But it is a little below the bar for these guys (since Unibroue makes so many awesome brews). RSRIZZO (1362), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 30, 2007 Aroma is a mild sour cheery scent. Color is a deep rich mahogany with almost no carbonation and no head. Taste is sweet and tangy. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a warm feel. Finish is a rich sweet cheery flavor that turns to a nice sour flavor. This is an amazing brew like no other. BossHossBikes (147), Tennessee, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 24, 2007 Bottle. The pour is a dark ruby with a pale head that almost instantly dissipates. The aroma is a sour and tangy cherry with. The taste is sweet and tart of cherries and slightly of cloves. The cherry flavour is strong but not overpowering. There is a bitter tart in the finish. This is a fantastic fruit beer. jetzler (622), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 18, 2007 Bottle, pours a clear dark red color, with no head and no lacing, tried it on the rocks its has a mild sweet and tartness to it. Then warmed it in a double boiler and poured into a warm snifter. Much better, rich and very Alcohol becomes more dominate, reminds me of mold wine. It was very full of spice and herbs, quite nice and delicious a must try warmed. Don’t boil obviously, but get it warm not hot like coffee but warm, like hot toddy. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 3, 2007 I did as recommended and drank this over ice. Pretty red color. Aroma of cherries cloves and cinnamon. Disappointing taste. Almost like a watered down cough syrup. I will pass on this next time.
