murawski (158), USA May 11, 2007 Very complex aroma, with a variety of sweet and spicy notes (definitely some bitter citrus and some nice light caramel or vanilla scents). Appearance of a hazy golden-amber, large diminishing thin head. Good flavor, though a bit too bitter on the finish (for my taste). Mouthfeel too fizzy (which just clinged to my mouth, maybe effecting the finish). Overall, excellent, but I feel that if perfected it could certainly be better (sorry Unibroue, I expect a lot out of your ales . . . because your’s are so damn good).
ILoveNewBeer (82), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Sep 3, 2008 Orange pour with a slightly orange like head to cover which goes away fairly quickly. I didn’t smell too much but there was some caramel malt in it. Mid to heavy bodied. Small bubbles add to the overall look of the beer.
Decent but not my favorite Unibroue beer. jaymobrown (1299), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 1, 2008 Orange beer color. Like a wheat. Small bubbles highly visible. Medium to small white head. Orange and spice nose. Not too much in the nose, but light and lively. Taste is really heavy syrup with some sticky malts and caramel. Brown sugar with lemon and zest. Decent. Takes some getting used to, but OK. markwise (262), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 22, 2008 750 courtesy of kiefdog. This beer pours a murky orange-brown color with a minimal off-white head. It smells of bitter candy apple with some brown sugar. It tastes a bit sugary but lots of white grapefruitesque flavor. Sweet and sour at once. Leaves a lingering slight sour orange/ white grapefruit flavor. Interesting beer. bigrond (860), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 16, 2008 I really enjoyed this beer. I was a nice mellow flavor. Smooth as silk and poured a really nice cloudy sunset color. Skinnyviking (2635), Copenhagen, Denmark Aug 14, 2008 Bottle. High fluffy off-white lasting head. Hazy brown body. Aroma of caramel plums nuts and raisin. Alcohol dominates the flavor of dried fruit and hops. Low carbonation, long aftertaste.
