Commercial Description:
On September 25, 1951, Hélène and René Léger opened their first rotisserie on St-Hubert Street in Montreal. This was the beginning of what was to become Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert Ltée.

It is because of these true pioneers and their innovative ideas, that the chain today is the pride of Quebec restaurant business. It is to mark their successful achievement that Unibroue has creates this unique beer: the St-Hubert.

Has the typical unibroue taste, it went very well with my chicken fillets. Too bad this beer wasnt available outside the restaurant.

341 mL bottle received via trade with Glouglouburp. Pours hazy light yellow with a large, fizzy, white head, lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (hay, straw, meal), average hops (herbs, grass), heavy yeast (barnyard, earth) with notes of banana and coriander. Medium bodied, creamy texture, lively carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.

Bottle. [thank you sooo much, frenchtickler]
Pops open with a nice plop, and a lot of white mist exits the opening. As I pour it, it looks quite pale and wit-like, but in the glass it gets a more hazy yellow character. Head looks like whipped egg-whites and stays for quite some time. On pouring, it’s about 1cm, but it settles at a few millimeters. Aroma is very nice. Quite fruity. Oranges, ginger, honey, yeast and coriander. Medium carbonation. Flavour is mildly sweet with a clear yeast presence. The coriander mixes with vanilla and a little peppery bitterness at the back. A very good brew, but the flavour is lacking compared to the aroma.

Bouteille. Arome malté, levure, épices. Couleur or-orangée, mince mousse persistente. Goût très épicé, alcoolisé, levure, finale en agrumes et sucres. Effervescence un peu trop forte, corps moyen à faible.
