| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jan 31, 2010 Bottle from sample pack - Mahogany pour with a thin, off-white head. Deep, bold spice on the nose, hidden somewhat under a blanket of booziness and dark fruit. Taste is balanced nicely, with some dark chocolate, light booze, raisins, and orange peel. Velvet in the mouth, with adequate carbonation and a nice warming finish. JAG55 (29), O’Fallon, Missouri, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 23, 2010 (draught) very dark with creamy light brown head. Nose is like most other Unibroue offerings -- heavy on the plum/raisin with a slight spice and yeast. Sweet and smooth with a light carbonation. Alcohol was not overbearing! Another good ale from Unibroue. Bonster (135), Jersey Shore, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 20, 2010 12 oz bottle from the local. A quickly disappearing head sits on top of this dark brown pour, some nice hints of red dance through the lively body. The bouquet is inviting, dark fruit (plums?), spice, and yeast. The taste is just as pleasing, malty dark fruits, spices, yeast, and sugar. After the aroma I expected this to be overly sweet but it has a nice yeast character. Sugar is present but it is balanced well with the spice and yeast. topherh (992), Kearney, Missouri, USA

Aroma is light bready yeast, some dark fruit, and a bit of spice. Flavor is sweet bready malt, raisins, spice, and a bit of hop in the finish NeoHippie2 (197), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Jan 18, 2010 Pours a dark ruby/black with a tan head. Some yeast on the nose with malts and alcohol. Taste has some dried fruit character to it (plum, raisin). Strong flavor to it with an even stronger alcoholic feel to it. Overbearing is the word that comes to mind for this brew. Not too good, won’t be drinking this one again.
