Långt varande skum på en mörk öl. Härlig arom av övermogna och jästa frukter. Minnen från barndomen hemma hos farmor och farfar och deras stora fruktträdgård. Citrus och i vin inlagd frukt i smaken.

Bottle. Dark brown pour. Slightly bready/yeast, more fruity aroma. Dark fruits mostly. Taste is a bit sour - but only enough to counter any over-sweetness from the fig and apricot. Great mouth feel.

12 oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Deep brown color with a tan head. Sweet yeast/fruit aroma. Very subtle sweet taste. Very nice balance.

Clear brown with off-white head. Aroma is melon, over-ripe banana, light biscuit and a hint of spice. Flavor follows suit with a fruity mix of melon, strawberry, and banana. Baked bread, toasted malt, and clove. Clean with medium mouthfeel. No booze. Well-made, but much too fruity and sweet for me.

Bottle poured into a HOTD tulip.
A - Pours reddish brown with a decent one finger tall white head leaving light streaks of lace down the glass.
S - Smells of all the usual dark fruits, cherries, candied sugar, and the fruity belgian yeast. The alcohol is noticeable from start to finish.
T - Starts off with an bit of candied sugar sweetness quickly giving way to hints of dark fruits; mostly figs, raisins and figs; cherries and the typical fruity belgian yeast. Finish is still pretty sweet with a good sized booze burn.
M - Medium body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Smooth, creamy feel that really may be the best part of this beer.
O - I enjoyed this one. Lots of flavor and an awesome feel make this one fairly easy to drink. If the booze would die down a bit this one would be really good.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Ferfie (170) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 24, 2012
Pours really dark, I would say like a plum skin color, but with more dark brown in it. The head is beige, with super tight bubbles, and has surprising retention.Smell is very yeasty and spicy. Right away a really powerful clove kind of aroma, you can pick up the alcohol too. There’s some rich dark sugar malt. Flavour is definitely sweet , but it’s a very dark and spicy rish sweetness, but its not too sweet. yeah, flavours like molasses, figs, other dark fruits, tons of spiciness. IMouth feel is super velvety with a really nice carbonation that helps in cutting the sweetness. The spice and the warmth of the alcohol lasts through till the finish on this beer. It doesn’t really have an alcohol burn, which is crazy at 9% and being a fresh bottle, but you can feel a nice warming effect. It is so powerful and flavourful, and yet it is well balanced. If you let it sit on your tongue for a bit, you really get a fruity taste out of it.

Dark brown pour with small head. Semi-sweet fruit (figs). Perhaps some aging would enhance the flavor.
