Feb 14, 2009 Bottle - Murky dark reddish brown with thin beige head. Fruity aroma. Medium carbonation. Full bodied. Smooth. Malty with rich flavours of dark fruits and a touch of alcohol. Sweet. More spicy than hoppy in the finish.

Feb 10, 2009 I didn’t want to like this stuff after it exploded all over my stuff after a bumpy ride back from BevMo. But it is a solid offering from Unibrow. Dark reddish-brown with a tan head that takes forever to go down (again, it was shaken up). Aroma is cola, red wine, raisins, spices, and Belgian yeast. Has a sweet Coke-like taste with some dark fruit flavors and spices, and the alcoholic kick that you expect from a Belgian strong ale. Full palate.

Feb 10, 2009 Nice pleasant malty dark belgian. This has almost zero bitterness, but has a nice complex malt profile that leaves a lingering wine like finish. Very smooth, slightly acidic. Pours a deep mahogany with an effervescent head. Overall, not too bad

Feb 8, 2009 Very dark ruby color, off-white head, super fruity with raisins and cinnamon at the forefront, finishes slightly dry and hides the alcohol well.

Feb 3, 2009 341 ml bottle, many times, pours dark caramel color. Head disapear rapidly. Lots of carbonation. Complex fruity aroma with notes of orange, yeast and raisins maybe. Vinous and port like aroma. Flavor is bit sweet. Texture is thin and volatile in the mouth. Definately fell the alcohol in the moith but don’t tastes it a lot. Light bitterness on the finish, alcohol as well. Great beer but feels less well-balanced than trappists belgian strong ales. Half way into it, there is something that bugs me. Don’t know what but I like the beer less than when I started it. Rating no 8, 030209
