4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
This brew poured an envigorated large head of fine to medium sized bubbles that left little lacing and lasted a good length of time. Its body was a very cloudy semi-opaque deep brown color. It has a very nice strong malt aroma and a very smotth initial flavor that finishes much more complex than it starts. its high alcohol content is well hidden in its flavor. The flavoe is very hard to describe. It is highly complex with a lightly fizzy, tongue tingling sensation of malts and spices. Extremely good brew. I will definately try this again in one of their larger bottles.

Very dark, strong aroma with lots of fruity tastes. Each sip you get so many flavors hard to detect. Very malty

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Medium brown color. Somewhat sweet aroma, flavor has plenty of sugar. Lots of cherry and malt flavors. It does resemble an aged wine. The beer continues to get better as it warms. Great beer.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Excellent. Great job of masking the alcohol. Very cloudy brown hue. Sweet, fruity, and malty. Lots of carbonation, with good head. Great aftertaste. I'd swim in this if I could afford to. Love it.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
One of the best I've tasted since a long time. Very sugary and virtually no alcohol taste even if its 9%
Some fruity notes at the end too.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
One of my new favorites. Its been a while since I had a good beer like this. Very roasted aroma and initial tatse, aftertaste of malt and sugar. Absolutely wonderful brew, no complaints here. Very similar to some of the Fuller's Vintage Ales in my opinion, but with a more bitter and roasted flavor. I love it.

4.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
UPDATED: JUL 13, 2003 definitely didnt expect this... tho most of the unibroue brews are good, but this one was exceptional, the aroma was nothing to to jump about - but it did have a fruity scent to it, a dark reddish brown that was extremely cloudy, nice thick head to it, the flavor was spectacular - mild fruit essence - strong carbonation - nice malty sweetness, the flavor seemed to get better over the length of the bottle

Very dark with a large frothy head. Ripe dark fruit aroma with some roasted smokey tones. Was amazed to find this readily available in my home town. Awsome brew.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: OCT 15, 2003 This beers seems to taste better halfway through the glass everytime I have one. It has a malty sweet taste with a slight fruity aroma. Very nice body and mouthfeel. Good touch of Belgium malts and has a discernable candi sugar flavor. And now accessible at the local bar - good job Drafting Room. Unibroue should be proud. One of many fine brews.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I truly enjoyed this unique Unibroue creation. To me, Trois Pistoles would be similar to a combination of a sparkling and port wine concoction. This beer is explosive when it hits your mouth; it has a marvelous citrus/fruit aroma, and a splendorous body. A must try, I will absolutely be retesting this beer.
