COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Strong Belgian type ale similar to a Port wine ! Is as dark as can be, mellow in taste with an aroma of ripe fruits. It can be compared to an old porto and is brewed from well roasted malt.

This is a terrific Belgian style ale. Comparable with some of the bests of the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap very dark brown with small white head. Taste is light spice with hints of fruit with just a trace of alcohol. Very smooth and balanced. A great sipper to enjoy.

Pours a dark brown with a nice pinkish white head that fades rather quickly. The aroma is fruity with bread and an earthy smell. The taste is malty mixed with bread and fruit. Moderate carbonation and a great beer.

Bottle pouts murky dark brown with big carb and yeast flotillas. Aroma is right sweet dark fruits and light Belgian spice. Taste is similar with a smooth sweet mouth feel.

Dark burgundy in color with slight head and no carbonation. Smell of dark fruits, bananas, raisins. Tastes smooth and fruity like a port wine with a slight alcohol burn on the finish. Excellent example of a Belgian style strong Dark Ale. Very similar to a nice quad. Highly recommend this beer.

This is a nice strong Belgian. Yeast is readily apparent, but not obtrusive. It is best sipped, and I drank it semi-chilled. Fruity and quite rich.

On numerous occasions 341ml and 750ml bottles. Murky amber-brown body, big mocha head with good retention, no lacing. Aroma of plums, brown sugar, coriander, Unibroue yeast, sour cherries. Taste strongly yeasty, figs, candy sugar, caramel, dark berries, plums, spices. Effervescent.

Cloudy brown/amber with a persistent lace. Fruity and spicy aroma, with biscuit notes as well. Flavor is malty and sweet, with a hint of dried fruit. Very crisp and carbonated for a Dark Strong Ale. Definitely a potent, sipping beer, with a nice warming effect. This is one I’ll return to on many occasions. Another strong Unibroue offering.

Bottle. Deep brown with a medium, dark tan head. Dark, tart fruit and caramel. Dark sugar, tannins and berries.
