Commercial Description:
Strong Belgian type ale similar to a Port wine ! Is as dark as can be, mellow in taste with an aroma of ripe fruits. It can be compared to an old porto and is brewed from well roasted malt.

Bottle. Huge head. Flavor of port, roasted malt, and alchohol. Flavor gets more and more complex as it warms. Very nice.

Best belgian I’ve had so far. Strong fruity flavour and alcohol hidden well. Impressive foamy head and wonderful fruity smell. A good intro beer of its type.....I typically don’t like belgians, even those that everyone here are so fond of. But this was very tasty.

12oz bottle. Pours deep dark brown, very nice looking with a towering tan head that leaves a small head for the duration. Nose is dates and wine with a hint of cheese and that Unibroue yeast. Taste is big on dark fruit and plum, pretty spicy on the tongue with too much carbonation, kinda waters the palate out to much but the flavor is still very tasty. Well done but if this had a little less carbonation it would be world class.

Almost more akin to wine than beer. Pours dark brown/maroon with very little head. Tases of port, dark fruit, lightly roasted malts, alcohol, and almost vinegar. More carbonated than one would expect from a beer with as much head as it has. No lacing. Definitely a complex taste and interesting, but not particularly suiting to my palate.

Bottled. Dark brown, almost no head. Aroma plums, raisins, port, smoke. Taste the same, extremely full even though I have almost no taste left after this massive hangover. Oh boy, Tallinn really takes the spirit out of you...

Incredible! This is fine, fine stuff. First thing I noticed was a burst of aroma, flowing out of the bottle, full of alcohol, dark fruits (figs or raisins), combined with roasty malt. It’s poured a very dark-reddish color with a reddish foam head. Nicely carbonated. It’s flavor was very complex with fruits, vinious texture, alcohol, and roasty malt. It’s smooth and right. Nice cool, nice warm. Not abrasive whatsoever.

Heavy Aroma of raisins, roasted malt, and alchohol. Flavor gets more and more complex as it warms. Lively carbonation and mouthfeel.

Bottle... Poured deep, opaque ruby with a beige head. Aroma of figs, fruit and roasted malt which lends to alcohol. Great carbonation and bubbles on the palate. Flavors of ripe fruit like plums and raisons that create a sweetness that match the malt nicely. Tiny bit of citrus and maybe hops, but just there to accent. Alcohol presence is low for 9%/
