marcbé (86), Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada May 27, 2008 Drak brown brew with thick tan head. Strong malt aroma followed by fruit: prunes (duke of), datte, raisin. Alcool, chocolate and winy taste. Quebec’s pride. GMCC2181 (848), Bear, Delaware, USA May 26, 2008 Bottle from Matt! Poured a light black color. Big head! Smells like sweet raisons. Smooth...and easy to drink. Quite good. Flavor is dried fruits such as raisons, cherries, etc... Mild Carbonation. Not a trace of that 9%! Over all a good brew! Thanks again Matt! markwise (1132), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA May 25, 2008 This delicious beer has an aroma of cherries, figs, plums, and deep fruit. The flavor delivers all that plus a ton of carbonation. It is very smooth and filling, I barely notice the alcohol presence. Nice beer, but between the intense flavor and the carbonation it is not a light and easy-drinking beer, but a filling and deeply flavorful beer. nefarious (202), Clarkston, Michigan, USA May 25, 2008 not bad I enjoy some of the other unibroue beers better, but nice flavor, malts spice and fruit. some alcohol and a very stong finish a good sipping beer. garthicus (1216), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 24, 2008 Appearance: Ruby red with a creamy head. Aroma: Sweet and sour, almost juicy aroma, nice. Flavour: Bitter and cinnamon, sour too some underlying malt and fruit, the 9% is well hidden. Nice dirt55 (150), Washington, USA May 23, 2008 amber pour with generous head, very suttle taste to suggest the stated ABV, would drink again nickspies (76), Omaha, Nebraska, USA May 22, 2008 2008-Apr-25 from a 750 ml bottle (Served too cold). Dried fruit, figs, and brown sugar aroma. Dark brown with a light t brown head. Big plum flavor at first and then a hot finish. Think palate. blklab2007 (943), Connecticut, USA May 21, 2008 bottle poured into a tulip glass has a very dark brown color with almost no transparency and a huge three finger tan head that took forever to fall and never disappeared completely. aroma has spice, licorice, banana, raisin, figs, malt, and very little alcohol for a 9%. high carbonation pushes the roasted malt, charred oak, fermented dark fruit, spice, and light bitters. does have some port wine characters, champagne like carbonation, and completely hidden alcohol.
