Commercial Description:
Strong Belgian type ale similar to a Port wine ! Is as dark as can be, mellow in taste with an aroma of ripe fruits. It can be compared to an old porto and is brewed from well roasted malt.

Bottle. 25.4 oz. Pours hazy amber, with a tan, foamy head, Aroma of figs, malts, hops, raisins, and hints of banana. Medium body with a sick, smooth finish. Excellent Belgian strong from Unibroue.

A dark reddish-brown beer with a small head with an evenly placed amount of small bubbles streaming up the glass like small strings of pearls. The aroma is very fruity with a little bit of funk. The taste is dark fruit, more funk, & a carbonated mouthfeel. This is complex flavors going down very smooth & absolutely no taste of alcohol. This beer is very alive in the glass & my favorite from Unibroue.

Leo’s South Point, OH - This brew rounds out my Unibroue spree and I’m glad I saved the best for last. A nice tan head gives way to delicate fruit and spice aroma. A dark brown color permeates a nutty, cinnamon, and fruit taste that makes up for the lightly carbonated body. This beer is better than the La Terrible, thus it deserves a slight nod for a higher rating.

bottle - hazy brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of fruits like grapefruit. Strong and complex flavour, sweet and yeasty. Alcohol detectable.

Bottle. Black pour with nice large head. Rich dark fruit Belgian aroma. Tastes very Belgian indeed, dark fruit, sweet, complex. A nice warming Belgian style beer.

Nice beer. Pours a near black with a huge head that dissipated quickly. Plenty of yeast and dark fruit in both nose and flavor. Nice mouthfeel. High abv well hidden.

12oz bottle. Pours a very dark black. Has that initial wine taste up front, like the La Fin Du Monde, but very different after taste. I’m having a lingering after taste of pear here. Maybe i’m crazy. Very nice beer though, easy to drink. Can’t taste the alc. % at all. Very solid brew.
