From the Northcoast Coop here in Eureka, CA. I paid $6.49 for a 750 ml bottle corked & caged. It poured an opaque and cloudy brown with large off-white head that diminished slowly with average lacing. The nose was of burnt caramel with overtones of plum and berries. Flavors were simply explosive in the mouth and were sweet malts, caramel, citrus like touches of oranges and grapefruits, grapes, tantalizing spices, berries and chocolate. Mouthfeel was smooth and rich. Finish was great with just the slightest hoppy and dry bitterness. If it didn’t cost quite so much I would drink this all the time.

Oct 5, 2008 Bottle. Black with a small but thick head. Kind of shy but nice fruity aroma. Wonderfull taste! Sweet like a belgian blonde and elegant like a barley wine. Complex, yet easy to drink. Sweet and choclatey.

does not count  Oct 2, 2008 [Bottle] Lovley aroma of frouts. The The colour is beutifull, kind of red. The taste is great, The taste is thick, complex with an after taste that stay a long time.

Oct 2, 2008 100ml from bottle at EBF 08. Off-white head over an unclear, dark brown-reddish body. Aroma of dried fruits. Taste of dark fruits, black currant supported by a more tart edge to the ending. Bitter dry in the mouth. Full bodied. Nice (14.09.2008)
