4.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: FEB 17, 2013 Froot loops notes and classic Unibroue yeast aroma. Dark effervecance and a nice cloudy foam top. Can?t get over that Froot loops aroma !? What?s behind that artificial fruit nose ? Soft in mouth presence, touch of herbes de provence. I?m going crazy, froot loops style cassoulet ? No hop needed, no hop showing. Distant alcool, so much fun to drink an easy beer like that. Easy yet complexe. Easy, in a possitive way. Easy like enjoying life with all its Grands Crus. Its not perfect, but the fact that I got this bottle at a gas station for 6$ makes it pretty close the perfection.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a murky red brown ruby color. Small tan head that doesn’t hang around. Aroma of ripe plums and maybe slight fig. Caramel and almost roasty notes as well. The taste is similar to the nose, more depth in the malts though, some toffee almost coming through. Some more traditional belgian notes jab in such as bubblegum and pepper although only slightly and they fade quickly. Medium body with a relatively dry finish that hints at chocolate but doesn’t go quite that far. Incredibly drinkable. Not the most complex quad ever, but certainly a tasty one. Thanks Cards04!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Rich dark fruit aroma. Deep mahogany red body with a off-white head, The head is exuberant at first and settles to thin covering after a short time. Heavy dark fruitiness and spice. Feels rich even with the lively carbonation. Warms the palate on the way down. Has a crisp finish that is on the dry side at the end.

Bottle: Dark reddish brown with an off white head. Dark fruit, cocoa, and spice aroma is followed by a fruity taste (stone fruit - apricot and plum - and raisins) and spices. Fairly balance with a slightly bitter finish.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A very good Belgian styled beer. Heavy in alcohol without that aggressive burn. Dark yet some spice and fruit flavours, not just all malt. Very nice!

Malty with a little sweetness. Not highly carbonates but still fizzy. Just OK, nothing I think I’ll buy again..
