BeerBlockaid (468), West Palm Biatch, Florida, USA Dec 22, 2004 This is one of my favourites. I was hoping the stores here would get a 750’er and then rate it but no. They have no love for the Trois Pistoles.. wankers. Very complex taste, one to ponder, of licorice, blackcherry, plum/raisin. Sweet and smoothe. Aroma follows in the footsteps of just the right taste in my opinion. Alchohol is hidden. I can’t believe I ran out:( vaaaa
Umoyk (11), , Mexico Oct 13, 2008 A very nice strong beer. The flavor is that of grains and nuts with a hint of clove. This one is my favourite. Fyrdraca (11), Macon, Georgia, USA Oct 11, 2008 A dark brown, opaque beer with a small, short-lived head. I loved the nutty, fruity taste of this one. The carbonation is good. It’s easy on the palate and goes down easy, though the aftertaste will make you jump a bit. scola21 (2), , New Jersey, USA does not count Oct 10, 2008 Pours well with small head and opaque brown color.full body, thick feel, average carbonation, long finish. Slight bitter aftertaste but pleasant taste. Naka (428), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 8, 2008 Pours an extremely dark brown color with a thick light beige head. Dissipates after a few seconds. The nose is dark roasted nuts, brandy, alcohol, plums, and maybe even some chocolate. The first things I notice about this is the rich body. Very creamy mouthfeel. There is some strong dark fruit flavors, a pretty pronounced alcohol flavor, a nice yeast undertone and a good bitter lingering flavor. Well balanced. Couldn’t have too many, but that is probably better with a 9 % ABV. Pyobon (171), Sydney, Australia Oct 7, 2008 Bottle. Very dark brown, almost black with excellent dense head. Pleasant somewhat fruity aroma with hints of marmalade and raisins. Medium body with wonderfull carbonation. Somewhat fruity refreshing foretaste with a rich aftertaste that verges on cloying, almost balanced with some bitterness. A great beer.
