Port masquerading as beer. Deep murky, ruby color. Smells of grapes, cherries, oak, spice and figs. Tastes like sweet figs, and raisins, clove and other spices, banana and some nice chocolate in there too. Alcohol is present with a nice warming glow. I could drink this through winter, hell, I could drink it year round. It is best after a big holiday meal, I always have one after Thanksgiving dinner. This is excellent stuff. One of THE best Belgians ever.

The ideal winter ale for me...rich, malty, subtly spicy, nice caramel, and that touch of Belgian yeastiness. The finish is long, smooth, and warming, and the body is velvety, and slightly creamy. Yum!

There are so many beers, yet so very few as good as this. A good beer all around, in aroma, apperance, taste-excellant.

750ml bottle. My favorite from Unibroue. Caramel taste. Great foamy head. I buy this beer on regular occasion. It’s more like a dark brown beer than a black beer.

This beer is simply perfect. A chocolate aroma, a great black appearance and a creamy and fruit flavor. This beer hide really well the 9%...the best product out of Quebec Province...and surelly one of the best in the world.
