Bottle (341ml). Shared with blankboy, my bottle. Poured very bubbly pale gold with a large, lasting bubble-foam white head. Aroma of bread dough yeast, lightly peppery sweet malt and grain, I even detected the alcohol - certainly not up to what I’d expect from Unibroue, but better than Blue, even if it does get a little vegetal on warming. Taste - pretty much your standard NorAm pils - light, sugary, vaguely grainy, faint stale floral hops drowning in the mix. Fizzy, light, watery mouthfeel - at best a lawnmower beer.

Brown bottle. Skunky pils like hops - not in a good way either. Yellow, small white head, thin. Light malt taste, a few hops, grainy and slightly sweet. A bit of skunky hop finish. Refreshing enough, and still better than Carnival, but not very good really.

This is the worse Unibroue beer I ever drank. This product is too much like other popular brand, without any taste. No personality at all. :-(

Pale yellow lager with a creamy extra white head. Malty lager with herbaceous cat pee hops. In mouth, sweetish crisp malt with light hoppyness, very restrained, and light bodied. Oh hum. In the brown bottle, with the gargoyle label.

An orange beer with a small disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet grainy and so is the flavor, but in the flavor also appears notes of alcohol, and it has a dry end. A boring beer.

Watery and fizzy, sweetishly malty, hint citric and not too offensive. Hoppier La Bolduc does the same thing FAR, far better with fewer compromises but is perhaps neither fish nor fowl in the craft VS macro style equation.
