bottle...I reckon an old bottle. The problem is that Unibroue bottles this in a clear bottle that sits under fluorescent light for who knows how long. As soon as I opened this bottle, I could smell a very unpleasant aroma. It smells and tastes like a dust covered 40 of St. Ides that I may have found in the back of the cooler at Capital Beverage in downtown Albany...This is horrible, I hope that it can be attributed to the storage of this beer and not to the actual product. I have to give this very low scores. I smell skunk. I taste skunk and a bitter skunk urine finish. Too bad this is 2 sub-par Unibroue products in a row.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
brew found in every Quebec supermarket. Decent pils, but did distract
from superior Unibroues that compete successfully with Belgian style
beers. Very basic but more pleasant aftertaste than national brand

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle: Poured a clear blonde brew with a nice huge head. Aroma is quite weak with some small notes of malts. Carbonation is just average for this type of beer. Taste is quite deceiving with some light floral malts and a watery aftertaste. Overall, this is a very light beer similar to some of the macro-produced ones out there but if Unibroue needs the money to produce some of their more robust beers then I have no problem.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
341 ml bottle. Massive, massive undying head, topping a very clear, light-bodied liquid. Lovely old-school bottle. Decent clean, fresh grassy pils aroma, not special but not sknunded at least. Smooth, fine-textured drinking, with an overall fresh clean maltiness but little hop presence. I'd say overall much tastier than I expected, but rather dull.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours transparent blonde--looks like your typical macro. 0.5 cm white head that is gone faster than a free beer at a frat party. Aroma is sour--fermenting cow corn. Starts is weird-sweet, then sour, then a creamy ending. Interesting tastes in this one that I cant put my finger on. Extra appearance point goes to the coolness of this bottle.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours an extremely pale yellow, not much in the way of head. Bit of an odd fruity aroma. Slight bitterness but not much. Weak.

2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Cereal aroma with some skunkiness. Clear golden yellow colour with bubbly white head that recedes to a covering that lasts. Very mild grain flavour with little detectable bitterness. Moutfeel a bit oily. Certainly not what one would hope for from Unibroue but if it finances the big beers so be it. Bottle (clear).

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear yellow beer with a nice head that vanishes quickly. Yeasty and malty aroma. The taste is not exceptional, but very refreshing. A good summer beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Beautiful color with a nice white head. Very refreshing taste and small enjoyable after taste. One of my favorite Unibroue product.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear golden with a large pillowy white head. Sweet malty, almost fruity pils aroma with some mellow saaz hoppiness. Body is lightly sweet, but mostly bitter with a dry finish. Crisp and refreshing, but a standard pilsener nonetheless. I never would've guessed this was from Unibroue.
