On goыte des saveurs de cйrйales avec une bonne prйsence de miel et de sucre.

341ml bottle. Clear honey colour, small sticky head. Hint of honey and caramel, with a sour note. Sweet up front, just a touch of that sour on the finish. Overall, better than the blonde, maybe not as good as the rousse.

Ambrйe, foncйe avec tons d’orangй, trиs grosses bulles mais pas de mousse, mince. Au nez, du houblon et de la cassonade, avec de l’herbe et des noix, accompagnйs d’orange, alors qu’un bouche on retrouve une toute petite pointe d’amertume derriиre un voile finement sucrй. On ne s’attendait pas а moins de la part d’Unibroue, n’empкche, on est surpris qu’elle soit rйussie ; bien balancйe, simple, elle impressionne par sa qualitй. Saveur un peu fade au final, par contre.

pours clear golden with a decent white head, some retention. some sweet malts, touch of honey, light herbal notes. almost aggressive carbonation, light body, no finish. bland + not an american dark lager. still, not horrible.

Golden-amber. Thick head. Caramel with lightly crackery notes. Honeyish backdrop. Overall, a fairly boring beer, where the honey note is the only thing even remotely fun.

Bottle at FF. dark amber. Smells like a run of the mill amber with too much caramel malt. Poignantly sweet finish is cloying and annoying. Caramely and boring. Disappointing. Time to move on to the good stuff.

Bouteille 341 ml. 4.9%. Couleur ambrйe un peu pвle, claire. Arфme un peu sucrйe, cйrйale. En bouche, aqueuse, miel, malt. Finale sans histoire..un peu de sucre.

Odeur de miel... quoi que зa puisse кtre juste du sirop de maПs. Peut-кtre que je me laisse influencer par le nom de la biиre! ;)
Le goыt est moin franc que l’odeur. Un petit peu de sucre et aucune amertume ou autre goыt. Зa йcoeure un peu а la longue, en fait. Pas trиs rйussi et зa vient de quelqu’un qui adore les biиre au miel.

Пиво низового брожения с добавлением меда от одной из самых известных пивоварен Канады. Производитель описывает его как Honey Pilsner и рекомендует его пить, наряду со стандартым высоким бокалом, также и из бутылки (!). Реализуется исключительно в Канаде.
Насыщенный янтарный цвет, вполне сносная невысокая пена... Аромат мягкий, сладковатый, в чем немалая заслуга используемого в рецептуре меда. А вот в букете мед почти совсем незаметен: вкус солодовый и слегка фруктовый. Хмель есть, но он начинает проявлять себя в послевкусии ближе к концу бокала. Да, присутствует еще некая симпатичная кислинка неведомого происхождения.
Вывод: это очень качественный лагер для любого времени года, хотя от пивоварен уровня Unibroue или Dieu du Ciel всегда ожидаешь чего-нибудь из ряда вон.

Originally rated July 2006. Bought in singles at La Trappe А Fromage in Gatineau, Quebec. This latest Unibroue pours a clear golden-amber colour with a small head, but decent lacing all around. Bubble coming up fast, from 4-5 different spots in the bottom of the glass. Mild herbal aromas with a touch of bread and grain. First sip was a turn-off with some metallic notes. Then it disappeared. Light sweetness from the honey with some grain malt taste. Never thought Sleeman would continue the U series, but this one is not bad. Actually, better than the other two... I find.
