Jul 13, 2008 (USA) Pours a dark brown almost black color with a med dissipating tan head. The aroma is of chocolate and coffee. The taste is much of the same with a hint of roasted malts. The palate is smooth and sweet. very nice !!!

Apr 5, 2008 On tap at the brewery...pours deep brown with almost no head...roasty aroma, coffee-chocolate combo with malts...flavor is much of the same, smooth, semi-sweet, yet dry. Easy drink, very enjoyable.

Mar 23, 2008 On draught at the brewer. Almost opaque pour, deep ruby hues with a diminishing head. Dry roasted malts, with lots of herbs and nuts (almost vegetable). The finish is of pure black roasted coffee, spot on. Creamy mouthfeel with very low IBU’s make this not too bad.

Dec 28, 2007 Robust amber-brown with burnt head. Nice coffee aroma and carafa malts. Easy coffee flavor. Dryish finish and a tad watery.

Nov 3, 2007 Pours a deep brown with ruby notes and a medium crew off white head. Aroma of chocolate, lightly roasted malts and hints of smoke. Flavor was a nice mix of roasted malts, dark chocolate, hints of coffee...nice stout.
