COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This generously hopped pale ale is a strike in your mouth! Brewed with lots of Pacific Northwest & New Zealand hops this beer is ten frames of big citrus and tropical fruit aroma and flavor. A strong malt backbone rounds it out and makes this pale ale a delight for the senses. The pins may be small but the flavor is huge! In our town, we roll Duckpin—a true Baltimore original.

12 oz. can, given to me by a fellow vacationer, up here in Maine. To solo cup. Pours amber with a one finger off white head. Nicely balanced aroma of citrus hops and pale malts. Flavor is loaded with citrus and tropical fruits flavors. Hops are most definitely there, but not in your face. Medium bodied with a dry finish. Quite tasty.

This was really good and I wasn’t expecting much. Big citrus and pine aroma. Aroma followed through to the taste. Could have this in my regular rotation. Very enjoyable.

12 oz. can at Foxy’s, St. Michaels. Poured light orange with minimal head. Light, crisp, hoppy. Decent summer pale ale.

Clear golden and lightly copper coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of bright floral and perfumey hops with a good kick of malt and alcohol, but the hops really are front and centre in a good way! Light-bodied; Deep hop flavour at first that gives way immediately to a cardboardie malt and some light fake sugar flavours with a hint of peaches and pears at the finish. Aftertaste shows only some of the hops, but unfortunately more of a floral and herbal kick than anything else with the plain funky malt and not much else in the supporting cast. Overall, a great smelling beer, but after that, it goes downhill, Not a horrible option to try, but don’t expect too much from this one! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Washington (Foggy Bottom), DC on 04-April-2014 for US$2,49 sampled at home in Washington on 12-July-2014.

Draft at Great Sage. Light golden, thin white head and a bit of lacing. Good hop fragrance, orange peel and Forrest after it rains. Mostly pine resin with a hint of citrus on the palate. A bit thin, with dry bitter finish... Very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

5/4/14. Can. Pours golden straw with a thin lacey head. Light citrusy nose. Classic APA taste. A bit thin but matches the ABV. Has some of the strong hop finish of a session IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pint on tap at Max’s. Lightly hazy golden with a lasting ring of cream. Aroma is citrus, resin and caramel. Flavors of caramel, resin, toast and orange-grapefruit. Light-medium body is mostly smooth with a medium carbonation and well balanced with a dry finish.

Tastes a little better than rated for me but this was just the random after work beer I had around the corner from work. It ended up good though. Nice citrus hips profile here. Pours orange with decent head and lacing. Average bitter finish, average carbonation. Can.
