COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with floor malted English Marris Otter and a hefty charge of rye malts, this beer brings a spicy malt presence to the scene. But its the hops that are the stars of this hep ale. We hopped Rye Baby with copious amounts of Chinook and Simcoe hops and then dryhopped it with a blend of the two to give it an amazing hop character that will make you the baddest delinquent in Baltimore! We think Rye Baby is a delicious beer that you’ll be burning inside to drink, and if that’s a crime we’ll stand convicted!

Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark caramel color with a large foamy orange-beige head that left great lacing. The aroma was bitter, piney and resinous with floral hops and a grainy note. The flavor was bitter, piney and fruity with a grainy undertone. Long bitter piney finish. Medium body. Ok.

Cask to half snifter at Churchkey. Pours a clear deep amber color with no head. The aroma and flavor have big anise up front, hints of orange peel, spicy rye, not much else, moderate bitterness, the anise dominates though.

Draft to taster at Churchkey on cask, pour copper with minimal ecru head. Nose anise, and that does it for me. Taste light bitter up front, then dank and anise. I just don’t like anise.
