500 ml bottle sampled in 2010. A clear amber body with a nice, dense off-white head. Aroma is mainly caramel malt. Flavor is sweet caramel, toast and a light hint of fruit. Low bitterness. Medium body with more caramel in aftertaste. Deadly boring.

Bottled, thanks KnutAlbert. Clear nut brown, rich head. Aroma of wet cardboard, white pepper and caramel. Sweetish with light-medium body and sticky mouthfeel. Wet cardboard dominates. Hops come across like heavily oxidized finely ground white pepper from years ago. Buttery fudge lead the way to a finish with slight metal. A rather unrefined commercial darkish lager.

33cl bottle from Meny Løren. Pours clear deep amber with a tan head. Malty aroma with caramel , some dried fruits, hints of spices and some roasty notes. Better than I remembered it, quite mild and not so much flavour, but far better than the worst in this category. Not an exciting beer, but easy to drink and fairly well balanced. Slightly dry and somewhat bitter finish.

Pigs Ear. Can courtesy of Knut. Cheers mate! Clear brown beer. Light malty beer. Very light! Mild milk chocolate, soft and yielding. A bit one dimensional, soft malt and not much else.

Medium brown body with a small, white, fully diminishing head. The aroma is very malty with caramel and has lots of sweet dark fruity notes. The taste is medium sweet and slightly bitter. Ok mouthfeel, it doesn’t feel too thin. One of the better Norwegian Butikkstyrkejuleøl™ in 2011.
[33 cl bottle, from Meny Telemarksporten, Porsgrunn]
